May 14th 2008 4:08PM They are not canceling the XPS line, but they are dropping the higher end gaming rigs. This is due to them stealing sales from Alienware, which Dell bought several years ago.
XPS will essentially become their high-end PC designation, but they will reserve the overclocked, watercooled Quad-core, Dual-SLI, etc. rigs for Alienware to handle.

May 14th 2008 3:59PM What Vivendi wants and what Blizzard does are 2 different things.
Guidance for investors is really a spin mechanism to help keep their stock price up. All that means is that Vivendi would REALLY, REALLY like Blizzard to release by the end of the year. Doesn't mean it happens.
