9/11 Silverado featured in Olympics commercial {Autoblog}
Aug 13th 2008 11:17AM I bet the people flipping out over GM using a firefighter from 9/11 testimony as how durable the Silverado is are the same people who are flipping out about the movie with Ben Stiller and Jack Black in it that uses the word retard. Go join your PC buddies and move to China. Don't worry, you people won't find anyone doing offending things over there. GM isn't using 9/11 to get you to buy a truck. They simply stated a truck that was burned to hell due to the attacks still runs. It is simply testimony on how durable the truck is.
Insignia will come to U.S. as a Saturn, with new sheetmetal, interior {Autoblog}
Jul 23rd 2008 6:22PM The reason why they are changing the sheet metal and interior is because GM is thinking about putting Saturn into the BPG network. Which will then putt the Invicta and Aura next to each other. The Invicta is very close to the design of the Insignia so GM wants to avoid the whole rebadge issue. Though I agree, it royally sucks we're not getting the Insignia as is. But, I am happy GM is trying to avoid having two similar looking cars under one roof.
GM unveils Corvette S-Limited for Japan {Autoblog}
Jul 2nd 2008 12:46PM The Y-Body isn't able to switch to RHD. GM states it will be an expensive re-engineering of the platform to convert it to RHD. Maybe they will do it for the C7 'Vette.
Ford to market F-150 as a work truck {Autoblog}
Jun 25th 2008 5:36PM The headlights are the way they are is because of new federal headlight regulations so car drivers aren't blinded in the rear view mirror by higher up SUV and truck headlights. Though I am sure Ford could of designed it better........
General Motors plans to purchase Cobasys outright {Autoblog}
Jun 5th 2008 6:43PM Note to Editor: It's Aura Greenline. Their is no Astra Greenline( though an Astra Diesel sounds good GM!).

2011 twin-turbo'd BMW M5 to produce 550 hp {Autoblog}
May 7th 2008 10:01PM Dyno's have shown ~281 WHP. The N54 has to be underrated or BMW managed to get little powertrain loss.
Chrysler, cutting lineup, won't sell twins anymore {Autoblog}
Apr 20th 2008 4:18PM If Chrysler thinks twins means sharing platforms, then their costs will go up as each brand will have to develop their own platform. Hopefully they just mean no more taking a Durango and putting a Chrysler badge on it.
UAW strike halts GM's CUV production {Autoblog}
Apr 17th 2008 11:02PM One factory on strike won't send GM into bankruptcy.
It's amazing that they voted on the new contract that GM made with the UAW. Yet, they still complain. No wonder why I am starting to grow anti-American sentiments as well besides what Bush is doing in the gov't( and I am American!).
That was easy: UAW and GM agree on lower wages after six months of bargaining {Autoblog}
Apr 5th 2008 4:21PM One of the plants in dispute is the Delta-Township plant. GM would never close that plant since it just opened.......
