Holden's billion dollar VE Commodore no safer than previous model {Autoblog}
Jun 21st 2007 12:12PM What i don not get is this, GM knew that this car would perform on 4 star level...but did not hold the production to do more testing and correcting the problem.
This is too important of a platform for GM to allow it to have such a HUGE mistake. Before it even was prodused in USA it is already behind Accord and Camry.....sure they can get 4 stars to, but to overcome those two GM needs to be BETTER than Camcord....., not only is GM not better, it is worse. I think GM should postpone everything from G8 to especialy Camaro and try to fix this....and everything else possible before this new platform goes on sale in USA. The new Mustang will be here when Camarro comes out,new Accord will be here as well, people will compare all these cars side by side and i bet that 4 star will play a huge role.
Look Toyota postponed Corolla by 3 years and Prius by a year....why can't GM postpone this for a few months and fix the damned thing?
Chrysler calling 2006 models "used" to unload them {Autoblog}
Jun 20th 2007 11:59AM #5 i do not know why but many car sector analysts still say that Chrysler is in better shape than GM or ford.

Toyota delays launch of third-generation Prius {Autoblog}
Jun 16th 2007 2:26PM #20 QUICKLY?
It takes Toyota either to late Febuary or Early March to reach that goal. Quickly doesn't even describe it.
Ford was all the way behind that law, because it allows them to sell their few hybrids and have that tax all year long.
Ford is a great company, founder was a nazi, last CEO was a pro family values guy....so much so American Family Association had to launch a boycott, because Ford promotes homosexual sex......ahh yeah love that company.

Jun 15th 2007 3:14PM #1 Do you actually believe in what you wrote? Honestly do you?
It seems to me you have somehow forgot that to date GM has yet to sell a single REAL hybrid vehicle.
But i guess if we are to use your logic...Indian company Mahindra, that is about to start selling pickups in USA is about to unseat GM in that segment.
BTW, wanna hear something funny? Prius was launched in 1993.......we are in 2007......wooooow oohhhh, those GM people really know how to do it.
I wonder, where are the best minds at GM, are they in egeneering department or lobbying department?
Toyota delays launch of third-generation Prius {Autoblog}
Jun 15th 2007 3:09PM Let's see, Toyota making this car that has a cult following and making a TON of money on it, while GM and Ford spend a TON on money on lobbying congressmen to kill all subsidies for hybrids and to kill any increases in fuel economy.
But hey, America is a winner in all of this. We are keeping our dirty air, giving even more to terrorists...and with any luck soon another oil financed guy will attack USA...as if Ahmadinejad and Hugo are not enough.
Ahhhhh, God bless SUVs, Pick Ups and all those who are too fat for a family sedan.

Onboard tire inflation system a future feature {Autoblog}
Jun 15th 2007 8:48AM WOW would you look at that. An easy way to get 10% in MPG...and you do not even have to spend millions of dollars on lobbying congress to stop all increases in MPGs. A lesson for all those Ivy League MBAs....i.e. Rick "The Prick" Wagoner.
But more to the point, Bob Lutz said that automakers have used all easy ways to increase fuel economy...i bet a few more features of this sort that in total will cost a total of 1 G can probably give a full size SUV MPG of a lasge sedan....and small cars can start getting Priuesque fuel exonomy AND still be much cheaper. And that is how one car company should fight another...not go to congress and Bush and ask them to remove all Hybrid tax breaks once the sales top 60,000 units a year.
By the way...what is that white, milk like substance on Senator Levins's lip?
