Honda considering offering JDM models in the U.S. {Autoblog}

Aug 7th 2008 11:56AM I bet it wont take them 2- 3 years to accomplish this like Ford and GM.

Scion sales are down, brand image in flux {Autoblog}

Aug 5th 2008 2:31AM I like the TC, but think the 1.8 Celica motor would have been a better choice, It is a young persons car but appeals to older folks, 49 is the average age for a TC.

XB, for all of you that have never been inside a first generation XB, you haven't a clue how marvelous this car is, I know a young guy 6ft 6 who owns one, he has tons of headroom.
These cars are very Practical and good value for money that's why old folks fell in love with them, very easy on entry and exit, they have a great following around the world as the Toyota Bb and Diahatsu Materia, check out you tube and go to the Scion forums, see for yourself.

The First generation XB was terrific, the 2nd Gen had some errors, the Camry engine is too big, the 1.8 liter would have been good enough and should have given better MPG.
The hood is too flat, it needs to be sloping and change that Automatic transmission cover, the grooves drive me crazy, it looks cheap and cheesy.

The 2nd Generation XB is restyled and sold as a Corolla Rumion in Japan, They have a choice of 1.5 or 1.8 liter motors, the 1.8 gets a 7 speed auto transmission and paddles, they have many features we cant get, illuminated speakers and power folding mirrors to name just two. Id love to see this car in US showrooms, its awesome.

As many of you know Toyota still builds the Bb and its Sister car the Diahatsu Materia, its looks better than ever, it would have made a Great 2nd Gen XB... I believe all these cars are made by Diahatsu.

Hopefully Toyota will bring some of these cars to the states, I'm sure they would sell, I'm sure Nissan are out to steal sales and the Cube should be a success, Wake up Toyota...

The Aygo should come to America either as a Scion or Toyota, we need small cars, these are basic but cute cars.

Analysts: Ford could sell Mazda to raise capital {Autoblog}

Aug 5th 2008 1:08AM Id Love to know we cant have European Fords and Mexico already has them, They have the Fiesta, Fiesta ST, Focus, Focus ST, and the awesome Full Size Transit van in Gas and Diesel, That old Econoline is way past retirement although some may like it...
They also have a cheap Courier pick up and previously had the Ka and Mondeo.

Mexico has lots of cars we cant get here in the states, sold by many manufactures, Opel, VW, Nissan, Toyota, Seat, Renault, Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Suzuki.

Google each manufacturer or go to Wikipedia and see what we are missing.

Nardelli: New fuel efficient model might be out next year {Autoblog}

Aug 3rd 2008 1:10AM If Nissan can build it and dump that square looking interior for something comfortable I think Chrysler will have a winner, I love this car design, small, cute and aggressive, Imagine it in red with white stripes.
If it cant be here soon Chrysler should re-badge Peugeots 206 and 307, nobody here would recognize them, they are already sold in Mexico.

Officially Official: Ford debuts all-new Ka {Autoblog}

Aug 3rd 2008 1:02AM We wait patiently fingers crossed for these vehicles to come to America, meanwhile south of the border they have many cars we'd love to have, the Original Ford Ka, Fiesta, European Focus and Focus ST, and the full size Transit Cargo Van, GM sells the Opel Corsa as a Chevy plus they have many other Opels too, VW has even more cars and Suv's for sale in Mexico, also The Caddy Golf cargo van with two other VW cargo vans, and there are small basic pick ups from Ford, VW and Nissan, the simple older type that people on this forum want to buy, I have no clue why Mexico can get all these vehicles but we in America cant, Id like to know why, they also have Toyota Hi-ace vans, Nissans Urvan and many cars and vans sold by Fiat, Seat, Alfa Romeo and Peugeot, the list goes on, Google it or look on the respective web sites.

Scion's newest ad campaign puts reader's rides on billboards {Autoblog}

Aug 1st 2008 3:56AM I'm still totally fascinated by original Xb, I wish Toyota would get the message and give us a smaller Xb Bb next time around, The latest Toyota Bb / Diahatsu Materia sold in Japan is awesome.

I too agree that we don't need a 2.4 motor, a 1.6 or 1.8 would be large enough with a 6 or 7 speed, Toyota have the technology, Id love to see them bring it to the states.

The Tc is cute and great value for money, I just don't see the need for the Xd.

Renault Megane spied undisguised in America {Autoblog}

Jul 29th 2008 11:42AM It would make a great Chrysler, we all know they need a small car so why not.

Spy Shots: VW "Robust" pickup {Autoblog}

Jul 25th 2008 11:56AM The Robust looks good, I hope it is sold in the Usa, VW should sell cargo vans here too, we are missing out on great product.
