Ford exec: Drive greener or else! {Autoblog}

Oct 30th 2006 12:00PM Richard Parry Jones??? Is the head of what? That guys been incognito, so to speak, since right around the time of the Firestone/Explorer debacle. What does he know about consumers anyway? Speaking as the man who never feared trying to change a Ford SUV into a Bimmer 2 months from J1, I wouldn't take anything he says too seriously.

eBay Find of the Day: 2009 Camaro {Autoblog}

Aug 11th 2006 11:38AM Wouldn't it be funny if he didn't get a Camaro at his dealership until after the market was already saturated with them.

Jun 28th 2006 11:01AM The IRS was in fact in the baseline assumptions for the 2005 Mustang. It was intended to share a platform with the Lincoln LS, Thunderbird, Jag S-type but packaging and cost issues led to a new, live axle platform.

Hydrogen fuel cells are the wave of the future - just not the near future {Autoblog}

Jun 12th 2006 11:57AM I am just not buying this hydrogen as the wave of the future idea. The whole process seems too inefficient. Why use electricity to make hydrogen to make electricity? Why not just work on improving batteries and going directly to electric vehicles?

Apr 12th 2006 12:53PM Since I moved to Michigan 5 years ago, ~95% of the people I met have quit their jobs and moved to another state. Most of them were young professionals working at the big 3.

UAW rejects latest Delphi offer {Autoblog}

Mar 30th 2006 10:18AM I was reading comments on the detroit news online site a few days ago and saw many UAW members posting. They were all relaying the chorus "No concessions" and "We have to make a stand". I can't imagine anyone happily going along with a huge pay cut, but I also can't imagine how any of Delphi's hourly workers could not see they are in a lose, lose situation right now. At some point don't you have to cut your losses?

2006 Lincoln Zephyr in the Autoblog Garage: Day 1-2 {Autoblog}

Mar 20th 2006 3:16PM Where, how, and why would anyone buy or lease this car???? I did a quick check and found examples for $30-$34,000 at local dealerships. As an entry luxury vehicle, this brings the Zephyr squarely in line with the BMW 325i, Lexus IS 250, Cadillac CTS. Even if you compare it to the suggested competitors what does this vehicle offer???? At least with AWD and a more powerful engine it would make some sense, assuming the cost doesn't go up.
