Jul 15th 2008 11:19AM That's approximately 33 MPG for the petrol and 38 MPG for the diesel... that's a pretty good step up. Even if EPA estimates are different they would probably be proportional.

Rumormill: 2009 Acura TL coming in 2 flavors, gets AWD {Autoblog}

Apr 14th 2008 8:12PM @ Scott

I agree with you... Sports cars are by definition rear wheel drive. That is what I was trying to make J understand. And also the fact that as far as cars go "Sports" is not the same as "Sporty".

RWD hands down handles better on dry pavement. No questions, I agree with that too.

As far as technologically superior... that is a matter of debate. The compact packaging, transverse mounting and trying to get the half-shafts remotely the same size took a while to refine. Yes, there are real simple examples of FF layout in Museums that I have seen from much earlier... thus I am going to leave it as debatable. I believe they caught on in the 60's with Citroen or Saab (not very sure) in Europe.

@J

I told you, you'd make a good politician. Just because I actually did read what you wrote and picked it apart, you are trying to get other's sympathy by getting mad, and telling the world so.

Apr 14th 2008 8:38AM Zane, thanks, that is exactly what I said... "they all make FWDs" and not "All they make are FWDs".

And that gussied up Camry that is the ES, is what J should be upset about, because it fits a lot of his arguments. But it still sells quite well doesn't it?
