Apr 16th 2008 3:09PM The 2.4L engine really ain't that bad. It's got good torque available at 4000rpm. I recently purchased a Vibe 2.4L and aside from sportier suspension, it has nothing to envy from a 2.3L mazda 3 (the regular 2.3, not the turbo) It's quick off a stop and when running smoothly at 120-130km/h, it's a good 800-1000rpm lower than the mazda 3's 2.3L.
The Corolla,s main problem was and remains it's boring plain look.
