NOPI cancels all drag, drift and car show events for remainder of 2008 {Autoblog}

Jul 17th 2008 12:02PM The real bullsh*t about that cancellation was that the Colorado event attendees and racers had a weeks notice that the event was cancelled. Many of the non-local racers already had hotels scheduled and cars on transports heading to the event when they found out. Apparently its not OK for NOPI to loose money hosting events, but they don't give a sh*t about the people who come out and race to make their events what they are. all i have to say is: long live BOTI.

NOPI cancels all drag, drift and car show events for remainder of 2008 {Autoblog}

Jul 17th 2008 11:57AM They seem to be making a lot of excuses lately. First, they cancel the Colorado event (http://mycomputerninja.com/?p=77) with only a week's notice on account of theoretical bad weather, and now they cancel the series. I think there are a lot of import racers who will never run another NOPI event because of the crap they pulled this year.

Pics Aplenty: Mitsubishi Evo X {Autoblog}

Jul 2nd 2008 2:02PM I think Mitsubishi got a bad rap from the *ahem*crankwalk issues they had with the 2nd gen Eclipse. For a while, 4g63 bottom ends would go, and no one could figure it out, not even Mitsubishi. They eventually resolved it, but i think some people got screwed out of the deal..and that kinda gave them a bad rap.

In reality, the 4g63 is one of the most bullet proof engines ever built. I am a little leary of the new ?4b11? but i am sure some people will make big power out of them soon, and they will be just as good or better.

Honda's next hybrid could revive Insight name {Autoblog}

Jun 17th 2008 1:10PM I don't care what they call it, but for the love of god please don't call it the cr-z. Yes, there was the fuel efficient crx hf, but thats not what the CRX was known for. People who care about the CRX remember the crx SI as the Motor Trend car of the year in 1988, and one of the best sport compacts ever made. This hybrid is hardly true to the CRX namesake. if they want to call it the CR-Z, they better put a k20 from the civic SI in it, and also make the boring hybrid model.

if they have a k20 with an lsd as an available model along side their hybrid, i will go to the dealer the day it is announced to put down my money.

Jun 5th 2008 2:31PM I agree. I think it is partly because we really don't care so much what it looks like, as long as it is fast. I can't imagine how much time it would take to build up something like that..

May 28th 2008 4:04PM man, what will the restorer think when that thing is dropped off.. I think I would take it as my cue to retire.

It isn't the worst restore job I have seen though. There was a Ferrari F40 that burned in a fire, and all that was left was the factory roll cage, which was subsequently brought back and turned into a F40LM GTE replica.

May 27th 2008 1:45PM oh my god.. even mentioning sarah fisher makes me laugh out loud. For those of you that actually watched the race, you might remember Sarah spinning out while attempting to warm up her tires during a CAUTION LAP!!! Then she left the race by torpedo'ing Tony Kanaan in turn 3, who was LEADING the race at the time, after marco andretti went low on Tony and caused him to perform evasive maneuvers. While the last situation wasn't entirely her fault, the first one was particularly shocking. I am not a licensed race driver, but I strongly believe I could have made a better showing than Sarah..
