Motorcycle crash on "The Dragon" causes wildfire {Autoblog}

Apr 19th 2008 12:36AM This will be my first year NOT going with the MINIs .. (I sold mine, sadly, but I have an RS60 Spyder on the way to make up for it =)... I have always had serious great fun at the MINI events, and yes, there are several other kickass roads that are *slightly* less intense than the paved rollercoaster known as Teh Dragon... 28 and 143 form a giant triangle with the non-Dragon section of 129 that is a sweet drive, and the segment of 28 near Fontana is awesome in it's own right.... I love that area. Killboy.com has a constant flow of excellent pics BTW.

Ford making more of the Shelby GT500KR for 2009 {Autoblog}

Mar 20th 2008 7:17PM It's about time Ford came out with a special edition Mustang...

Hyundai Genesis Coupe paper cut-out for those who can't wait {Autoblog}

Mar 20th 2008 7:15PM Ha! Build quality is now your own fault.

Pics Aplenty: More of the Porsche Boxster RS 60 Spyder {Autoblog}

Mar 12th 2008 6:22PM FWIW I spent about an hour alone in a similarly equipped GT Orange special edition that lacked only PASM, and I was so in love I *almost* left the dealer with the orange one... seriously, if you haven't driven a Box S with the sport exhaust you should give it a run... the sound alone is intoxicating, and the handling is extraordinary. 303 hp in that puppy is like a rocket launcher.

The only extra I added was BOSE (I love music) otherwise it's perfectly equipped already. (plus I was pushing my budget a little, but it'll be worth it I have no doubt)

Mar 12th 2008 4:08PM It'll be my daily driver (and my only car) replacing my 335 Ci and MINI Cooper S vert. There was an option to swap all the red out for black, but then it would look like any other sports car, so I'm going for it. Probably help it keep its value better too.

Mar 12th 2008 2:55PM There are actually only 1959 of these for sale, because 1 of them is mine =) It's due in July. I think it's friggin awesome, red top up and all.

To manually configure this car on the Porsche web site -as close as you could get, exact is not possible- rings in close to $10k over the msrp of the RS60, so it's a packed value as well.

Chrysler closing west coast design center {Autoblog}

Mar 8th 2008 11:51AM Chrysler had a Design Center -? wow.

Blame the dollar for no VW Scirocco in the States {Autoblog}

Mar 5th 2008 6:08PM *sniff sniff* Yah, I smell unrefrigerated baloney.

If VW wants to win the hearts of American buyers again (something they once had in abundance, and squandered away) they must offer exciting vehicles that are constructed with quality and supported by excellent service. This wishy-washy tail-chasing stuff must stop.

They need to offer something that young males want to buy IMO. They look like a neutered brand to me.... and they want me to believe it's all George's fault?? C'mon.

If teh poor 'ol dollar is such a heavy burden to VW, then hey, don't sell cars here at all, ok?

Melbourne 2008: Holden Coupe 60 shocks showgoers {Autoblog}

Feb 28th 2008 6:37PM I give this baby an honest, unencumbered, whole-hearted *wow*. Much of my disgust with the cheesy-ness of today's automobiles just melted away.

If GM were not an insanely phoney badge-engineered nightmare, THIS is what a Monte Carlo was always meant to be IMO: real.

I'm really impressed for once. Go Aussies!!! You rock.

Geneva 2008: 2009 Volkswagen Scirocco arrives early {Autoblog}

Feb 28th 2008 6:28PM FWIW I always thought of the Audi TT as today's Karmann-Ghia.... aka a squashed Beetle..
