SanDisk Mobile Phone Memory Card Giveaway {Luxist}

Sep 24th 2008 1:01AM Most of what I store is comprised of photos and music but it turns out a phone makes a great thumb drive replacement so I've only got to carry one thing around instead of two. This 4GB would be great!

The editor-in-chief giveaway: Win Ryan Block's video games {Engadget}

Aug 24th 2008 3:02PM I'm in. I've never gotten to try Guitar Hero. This would also give me a legitimate excuse to go pick up the PS3 I've been wanting.

The editor-in-chief giveaway: Win Ryan Block's gadgets {Engadget}

Aug 23rd 2008 5:19AM I'd probably keep about 95% of this stuff. I haven't allowed myself any new gadgets in a long time.

Fujitsu to launch FLEPia color e-ink e-books in the fall? {Engadget}

Jul 15th 2008 12:07AM I agree. The ability to buy books and periodicals anywhere at any time, as well as browse my morning news sites, weather, etc. is way beyond what anyone else is offering... so far. The amount I read has probably quadrupled since I got my Kindle and I'm always browsing the online store and loading up on books I'd probably never hear of without the recommendations, user reviews, and downloadable samples. People can knock the design all they want, I find it to be near perfect in the function department and the fact that the device lacks "flash" may even help me to forget I'm reading on an electronic device and make it easier to get absorbed by the material I'm reading.

Lamborghini offers Versace edition LP640 Roadster {Autoblog}

Jun 24th 2008 4:23PM Why the hell are they using a Greek theme on an Italian super car owned by a German company? This is ridiculous.

I thought owning a Lamborghini was special enough, but apparently Lamborghini doesn't even think so anymore if they need to rice up their cars (yeah, I said it) with the logos and designs of another brand. This just reminds me of those McDonalds donks that look so ridiculous.

Broadstar Windsystem's AeroCam wind turbines break elusive price barrier {Engadget}

Jun 19th 2008 10:09PM The total width appears to be 18.5941667 feet according to their brochure. It shows a dimension of 223.13 wide, but does not specify units. However, the brochure shows graphics of them mounted on the tops of office buildings, so surely it can't be 223.13 meters or even feet. Since they're based in Texas I'm going to assume they aren't using the metric system. As far as turbines go that seems like a pretty decent size.

What I'm wondering is, if you had, say, a farm and put just one of these on your land for $250K and pumped the energy you didn't use back into the grid, how long would it take to pay off?

Father's Day Sweepstakes, Day 3: Automoblox, of course {Autoblog}

Jun 18th 2008 2:59PM Definitely the C9-R!

CompUSA rises from dead, attacks Florida {Engadget}

Apr 24th 2008 11:44PM This is kind of interesting. The Microcenter in Fairfax, VA is currently selling tons of CompUSA branded items (mostly accessories) at VERY low prices. I figured they bought up the remainder of CompUSA's products when they went out of business and didn't bother to repackage them.

West Philly High preps plug-in hybrid in bid for Auto X Prize {Engadget}

Mar 21st 2008 10:00PM Um, a K-1 Attack is hardly an "off the shelf part". Unless you have $100K+ on the shelves where you shop.

Win a Philips 42PFL5603D 42-inch 1080p HDTV! {Engadget HD}

Feb 7th 2008 12:26AM This would be a nice replacement for my old mitsubishi CRT.
