May 14th 2008 11:02PM the fact that the post had adam's sig kinda belies that.
The gquit macro {WOW Insider}
May 14th 2008 10:54PM lol! removed the post where adam says 4 million people will see what a douche the person is at 6 pm today?
if smearing the guy was your intention, then stand by it. don't be an utter chickenshit about it.
The gquit macro {WOW Insider}
May 14th 2008 10:51PM kinda puts the authors motivations in their proper place, eh?
sadly, adam has done more to validate the person who gquit than tarnish him, imo.
Awful Archimonde alterations in 2.4.2 {WOW Insider}
May 14th 2008 2:54PM probably n9ot, since most true hardcore raiders will most likely have dropped hyjal by now in favor of more time in sunwell.
these changes pretty just fuck people coming through now after the attunement reqs have been lifted.
Wrath will have mounts with passengers {WOW Insider}
May 12th 2008 5:34PM the SSO title was a money sink? really?
considering every single toon i got exalted on (6 atm) made roughly 2300g in the process of hitting exalted, that kinda strikes me as humorous.
Insider Trader: Fishing, the final stretch {WOW Insider}
May 11th 2008 4:23AM the simplest way to just brute-force grind fishing is to fish in og or in the canals of stormwind. it's a pretty sensible place to go from 1 to 375.
i had 5 lvl 300 fishermen in vanilla wow and a 6th who was at 225 with the quest done. i recently decided to see how well he could fish in outlands and lo and behold, with a +100 lure he's done quite well and is almost at 300 now.
in general, my recommendations when it comes to fishing is that you find something to go with your fishing -- music works for me, f.e. -- and that might help keep you from getting bored by it.
the other suggestion is to just take it easy -- you don't really get a prize for going from 1 to 375 in a day. for the most part i try to do 10-20 skillups in one setting and then do something else for a while. maybe i'll come back to do some more or maybe i'll comeback tomorrow. pacing yourself (imo) helps tremendously.
oh, and as to why fishing benefits healers more -- fishing supplies the food healers use, either the mp/5 food from the zangar sporefish or the +healing food from the golden darters. stuff like stam and agi food you can just hunt for, but healers gotta fish!
50 Most Memorable Movie Cars {Cinematical}
May 10th 2008 2:45PM the '90 NASCAR lumina from 'days of thunder' made me wince. if you're gonna include a racecar, it should probably be the gulf porsche 917 from 'le mans' -- an iconic iteration of an icon of auto racing.
heck, even the F1 ferrari from 'grand prix' would have been a better choice.
didn't really agree much with the rankings, but it's a fairly good collection, overall.
Questioning the fate of 25 mans in Wrath {WOW Insider}
May 9th 2008 5:16PM well, unfortunately, i can't help but think that you couldn't be more wrong about this, but whatever gets you through the day.
Questioning the fate of 25 mans in Wrath {WOW Insider}
May 9th 2008 5:12PM i'm just hoping blizz won't take these changes as an excuse to tune the 25 man content to absurd extremes like they did with some of the fights in sunwell. zones that become doable when you cudgel your whole guild into picking up leatherworking...well, that's kinda silly.
i'd prefer a more straightforward progress path along the lines that blizz had with the T4-5-6 zones, some challenging fights in there along the way, but stuff for people who just wanna raid some semi-reasonable hours to partake in as well.
if we get more bosses along the brutallus/twin eredar/m'uru line of thinking, i think 25 man raiding will fall from favor for everyone except the uber-hardcore guilds.
Cinematical Seven: When an Animated Series Goes Live Action ... and Gets it Right {Cinematical}
May 9th 2008 4:20AM i entered into state of incredulity when you praised TMNT, which was at most a forgettable attempt to cash in on a craze near it's peak.
it was surpassed in a big way when you opted to include the sequel, which was just plain crap.
i think a braver thing here wouold have been to say 'look, lets reappriase popeye, which really deserves to be reappraised. i guess transformers was an ok action flick, but as for the rest -- there just haven't been any truly good cartoons to movie conversions. just lots of mediocre to bad ones. sad, but true.'
incidentally, super mario brothers was based on a video game not a cartoon and doesn't really belong on this list. if you're gonna widen the criteria like that, we might as well deal in most every marvel comic book franchises (DC as well, if you count superfriends), wing commander and...god, i hate you for even making me think of this...dungeons and dragons.
