Saturn Side-by-Side-by-Side campaign launches {Autoblog}
Jun 11th 2007 8:43PM I honestly think this will not be successful. And when they stop doing it in a few months they will put out a PR release that says the campaign ran its course and it had nothing to do with the fact that either A: The people bought Camry and accords instead or B: Sales simply just didn't go up and it was time to pack it in.

Jun 11th 2007 8:39PM I dont know why GM has to resort to this stuff. Just make decent products and let the people come. If at first they trickle in so what? Be patient. You cant build poorly made products in the past, suddenly come out with something nice and expect the public to flock in.
This is not necessary and I dont approve of it.

Jun 8th 2007 1:46PM That interior doesn't look good at all. I remember it was looking better before with all the wood and leather on the top model. I feel bad for the people buy the base Aura as the interior will probably be dark and plasticky.

Jun 8th 2007 1:42PM It doesn't give you great milage because its a MILD hybrid or whatever that is. Its amazing how Toyota Ford and others give you a full hybrid but GM only wants to go the MILD route. Like their Silverado and now Aura. Whats the point? Either dont do it or go all the way.

Jun 6th 2007 8:46PM What I like is who cares if Ford has good quality. Month after month their sales are dropping. Hopefully they will die off soon.
Die Ford Die.
Go GM and Toyota and Honda and Chrysler and everyone else.

Jun 6th 2007 6:58PM I like how its ok if the Domestics go oversees build plants and import to USA but its bad if imports come here and build plants.
Profits are about 5-10% of the purchase price. I rather have the profit leave our country and keep 90% then have 90% leave our country and we get 10%.
Outsourcing is not good people!

Jun 6th 2007 4:55PM Vinny,
My accurate way of collecting data is to not ask consumers. Do the whole testing yourself in house. Like consumer reports does. Or car magazines like longterm car and driver or motor trend.
There are a lot of consumers that bitch and complain then there are those that so want to be positive they overlook things.
My wife's brother is a die hard Dodge Ram fan. He bought one with a Hemi in 2004. The truck has had numerous problems and gets very poor milage. But he is fine with it and stands up for it.
Then there is my wife's mother. After years of domestics bought a Toyota Matrix last year. She treats the Toyota so poorly and expects so much from it. She seems to have this anger that she wants the toyota to breakdown so she can say "here look the damn Jap car sucks". She just complained her wipers were squeeking last week. I mean come on. The Matrix has been awesome, but she doesn't want to love it.

Jun 6th 2007 4:29PM I dont want initial quality. I want 7 years old quality. I dont think Ford would be up their after 7 years.
Yes they are making great products now. Yes the Edge may get up there. Fusion too. But right now in 2007 half of Fords products are still old school. You cant paint the whole company with one brush.

Jun 6th 2007 2:55PM I like VW too. Specially the look of the Touareg. Its just so damn heavy. I wish it was 600 lbs lighter.
