Toyoda proves you can never have enough airbags {Autoblog}

Jun 6th 2008 8:51PM I might have missed something but how do the exterior airbags activate ?
the car hits you and then the airbag goes off and it basically hits you again ?
when you drive and have crash the car knows before you actually hit the steering wheel (or whatever corner of the car you choose to get to know better) but when you hit somebody there's no way the car to know before (and using proximity sensors would be out of the question)

Rampenfest to rock mythical town of Oberpfaffelbachen for literal launch of BMW 1-Series {Autoblog}

Mar 24th 2008 8:49PM I'm glad you so emerged in this whole fantasy thing, of course it has to do a lot with Russia, Europe is in Russia anyway, or the other way around, we're pretty much Bavaria is near Germany anyway

Opel reveals 2009 Insignia through "official" spy shots, tells tale of misdirection {Autoblog}

Mar 17th 2008 8:12PM As a photographer i think that there is nothing on the car that could even remotely cause moire artifacts to show up, and even if they did this wouldn't make any differnce (no, not even a small one) to how the car is percieved
that's one weird trunk lid tho

Terror-stricken Dakar Rally heads to Central Europe, begins a new series {Autoblog}

Feb 9th 2008 12:15AM i wasn't aware that khazakstan was in central europe, or even that near to it actually, care to check again ?

Audi Super Bowl ad puts "Old Luxury" on notice {Autoblog}

Feb 3rd 2008 8:44AM Well, while i do like just about everything Audi's done lately i can't think that this just was too overhyped to actually be any good.
All while the "introduction" i was thinking....they're not going to put some car bits in his bed are they ? and they do me one worse, they put a precisely cut front end....that's not funny, not even that creative, it's just lazy
Don't get me wrong, it's not a particularly bad commercial, it's sends the message pretty ok, but it's defenetly not memorable or clever

FIA Superlicense gets exponential increase in price {Autoblog}

Jan 23rd 2008 6:30PM Yeah, because crazy kids were just pouring in, teams paying them millions of dollars and trusting them to drive their multi-million dollar cars, now they will be stopped
Teams don't risk that kind of money on unsafe-rookies, this has simply no practical effect, just cashing in a bit more

Spy Shots: 2009 BMW 7-series {Autoblog}

Jun 22nd 2007 10:18AM Well, i would be the second, i much prefer the first look of the current generation to the facelift version (looks way too bland), it was aggressive, distinctive and the trunk was a not that bad, definetly in line with the general design. And i do think people would have bought it, exterior design will always be a matter of taste but the interior was of incredible well built and very luxurious (way better than the S Klasse i think) while the chassis and engines were outstanding, sounds like a good luxury car to me

SEMA Gallery: Greatest Supercar Display ever from Michelin {Autoblog}

Nov 3rd 2006 8:23PM I don't know if Lambo should have been included anyway, the Murcielago LP640 doesn't stand-out as much, i'm sure my jaw would drop if i saw one but the CCX, Veyron or F1 are like instant orgasms :P. The Enzo has kind of gone "cliche", what i would have liked to see (in an ideal world of course since they don't work with Michelin) from Ferrari is the FXX,
