Ford holds Taurus SHO focus group in Chicago... what does it mean??? {Autoblog}
May 7th 2008 9:43PM Really? Really? Look I know there are some fans out there but Ford can't come and complain that development of new fuel efficient cars are costing them too much when they might sink money into a car that'll sell 4-6 thousand a year?
They can make it. But I don't want to hear any complaints afterwards about them being straped for cash.
Design students envision a modern Model-T {Autoblog}
May 5th 2008 2:44AM Come on people. I can't believe that so many people are ripping this guy's design. If you have a problem it should be with Ford choosing it over others then criticizing this guy.
Personally I think some aspects of his concept very intriguing. The regenerative suspension for one.
@A Porsche Fan, I don't see you're comparison between the suspension and a dynamo on a bicycle. Admitadly I am not an engineer, but I do not see how this technology would sap power from the powertrain as it is not associated to it. Your bicycle analogy is already the case in all cars to date, it is called an alternator. I am however interested to hear your arguments explaining your reasoning. (BTW, the first part of my post was not targeting you)

GM to reduce full-size truck production beginning in July {Autoblog}
Apr 29th 2008 3:46AM Yeah it's about time. Been waiting for this for a while. Wondered how long they were going to push their trucks with the gas so high.
That said even some of their small cars get horrible (aka sub 30mpg) milage : the Pontiac Vibe 2.4L comes to mind. how the hell does the 2.4l _only_ make 20hp more then the 1.8L? That's .6l more! I don't get how Toyota not make more efficient engines.

Apr 22nd 2008 4:04PM I'd love a TDI version w/ stick. Even if it's got a 2l in it it'll pull hard with a high enough boost. Seriously VW, I'm not looking for a offroader or a heavy duty truck.I don't need to pull 10000lb, or have a 5000lb max load capacity. Just a freakin vehicle that gets atleast 35mpg and can take whatever I load in the back from the trip to the local lumber yard or Home Depot.
State shaped like penis bans Truck Nutz {Autoblog}
Apr 21st 2008 2:29PM I agree. If you have those on your truck then you're a douchebag.
That said we haven't outlawed being a retarded moron, so why take action against brass balls?
I think it's got to do with people not wanting kids to see those (cause they look like a 90 year old's scrotum... and that's never a joyfull sight).

Apr 18th 2008 12:56PM Yeah I agree that Chrysler couldn't go too crazy with their big seller. That said, I would REALLY like to see in the near future a real production small-midsized pickup that looks like the orange (krugger?) design. Maybe a bit more glass all around to help with visibility but def a modern design. Also a 2.0l-2.5l diesel with a stick would be cool. Ah here I go again into fantasy world. Back in the real world I know it'll never happen.
Damn that Flex is sexy! {Autoblog}
Apr 17th 2008 5:24PM wait... the scion was the first "boxy" car? Seriously? You might want to look at the history of vehicles, because I can assure you that the scion is FAR from being the first.
Damn that Flex is sexy! {Autoblog}
Apr 17th 2008 5:21PM "If the Flex can look this good in daylight and in the dealer showroom, Ford shouldn't have any trouble attaining its goal of 100,000 sales annually."
Yeaaaah... I don't think so. See as much as I like the shape and the floating roof, I don't think the target demo will want to shell out the cash for this car. Maybe if they still have some capital in they're house they can take a mortgage? Then maybe they'll buy it.
We'll see who's right though in 6 monthes.
More cars than ever require premium fuel {Autoblog}
Apr 17th 2008 5:05PM In the tri-state/PA region premium is 30cents more then regular. So I want to know where you guys live. 10-20 cents more? I went to New Mexico from NYC last summer and I only saw 30c difference everywhere i went. Which brings me to my next question is, how come it's gone up 20c, because 5-6 years ago the dif was 10c. I hope our next prez looks into the oil businesses. I want to know if the refineries are actually working at full capacity. Call me mr. conspiracy.
