Dec 31st 2007 12:27PM I'm a huge fan of BMW as you can tell from my name. I like the 1 series but from what BMW seems to missing is that the percentage of buyers that they seem to be targeting are BMW enthusiasts looking for a sporty high performance "agile" "track worthy" BMW.
But if you look at the pricing , (which IMO is very very important) you can get a used fully loaded 2001-2006 m3 that has more to offer than the 1 series. The M3 has a longer wheelbase which is more stable, factory LSD,SMG optional, a wonderful n/a 6 cylinder, all the luxuries, and at avg price used of mid 20's - high30's and not to mentin the fact that imo again has a more masculin look than the 1 series.
This is the issue once reality sets and the female market over populates the 1 series market.
