Best Movie Villains of All Time {Inside Movies Blog}

Jul 30th 2008 11:32PM Darth Vader is IT!!! The combo of James Earl Jones, and David Prowse, and that b r e a t h i n g, he was the baddest man in the GALAXY!!! I guess Hayden Christensen tarnished the image more than we initially thought :/~ At least they didn't throw Darth Maul in there. Heck, fancy light saber or not, he was a lightweight, he didn't even make the end of his own movie. Then again, there IS The Emperor to consider... :/~

Well, there's my .02 cents :P

Hybrid Toyota Supra Wins Tokachi 24-Hour race {Autoblog}

Jul 20th 2007 1:01PM It's going to be very difficult to top the iconic MKIV. But SOMEthing has to be lapping at Toyota's secret R&D facilities, We'll probably only find out about it when the boat docks in Long Beach though...

20 Worst Pre-Rock Star Jobs: No. 17 {Spinner}

May 6th 2007 8:26AM Nothin' was gonna stop this girl from Burleson from making it. I've read that she did a bunch of stuff before Idol. She seemed very grounded in her success early on, haven't kept up with her recently, but like most all of the stuff she's done. I just hope California dosen't screw her up like they did Jessica Simpson and so many others.

So long, friend: Ford producing the last Taurus next week {Autoblog}

Oct 26th 2006 12:04AM So the Bull has finally been sent to the slaughterhouse. The '96 redesign was really the beginning of the end. I was selling back then, and can remember the "mousefur" cloth interiors on the base cars. Truly awful. Ford finally put an incentive on those cars just to move them off lots. The LX with the Duratec V6 was a barn burner though, almost the equal of the previous years SHO. As long as you didn't think about the outside too much everything was great, but then you'd get to your destination and need to get out, and inevitably return to the car from the OUTside, and you were face to face with the problem all over again. We could have made a fortune had we somehow stockpiled a bunch of '95's somewhere in a warehouse until several months after the new cars intro. I was surprized to learn how strong fleet sales still were. If anything can be learned here, it's NOT to subscribe to blandness, base level cars don't need to REMIND you that they are base level cars. Part of the final phase of decline may have been Fords restructuring all of their models to have names that begin with "F" save the Mustang (and I guess the Crown Vic, however longer it has) several years back. That sort of cast the dye, and was probably the reason no more money was spent on the platform as it staggered towards the slaughterhouse. They decided that the Taurus was a gonner long before truck & SUV sales tanked recently. Taurus, not a bad name, certainly less "trendy" than Fusion, but one that needed a fresh start. I would think that it would be far less expensive to realize a mistake (the '96 redesign), fix it right, and spend some on advertizing, than to kill it, and spend a BUNCH on launching an entirely new model.

I think the current Five Hundred to be a very nicely done effort, tasteful, no horrendous styling errors like so many others, I'd have one in a second if I needed a four door sedan. The press has labeled the car boring though, so Ford is hastily attempting a redesign to what outcome we've yet to see. Meanwhile Toyota launches a truly bland, ugly car, the latest Camry, and the press says nothing. I'm starting to beleive that the press enjoys bashing the domestics.
