Psystar Open Computer notes, benchmarks and video {Engadget}

Apr 30th 2008 5:18PM If you're looking at it from a lower cost option, consider the Pystar machine does NOT come with iLife. That's another, what, $80?

Then factor in the ever-running fan and DHCP issues and God knows what other problems will pop up with continued use.

Get yourself a used G5 iMac for less than $700 and be happy.

Oh, and now Pystar's Web page won't load again. That's great customer service/support! I guess you get what you pay for.

iPhone owners do everything but talk {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Apr 4th 2008 5:28PM Damn! This thing makes phone calls, too?! Amazing!

I just tried making a call, and, sher nuf, it works!

Now I REALLY love my iPhone. SWEET!

NSFW VIDEO: How NOT to get out of a speeding ticket {Autoblog}

Apr 4th 2008 1:21AM Um, Jeremy. You fault us for dredging up this 16-year-old (yet, surprisingly still funny) video, but then aren't happy with the way we're reporting news of a very bad re-make of a horribly cheesy TV show that is, uh, 26 years old.

Alex, I think the question is, "What is irony?"

VW adds Jetta Sportwagen, pricing to site {Autoblog}

Feb 6th 2008 2:24AM That's very interesting. VW has removed the pricing info from the Sportwagen popup. I wonder what that means. Hmmm.

Apple's iPhone making its way into business use? {BloggingStocks}

Dec 7th 2007 3:31PM You naysayers have apparently not spent much more than a few minutes with an iPhone. After six months with mine, I can't think of not having it. And, no, I do not use mine to "pull up YouTube vids on the go." I check my email. Manage a Web site. Compose text documents. Order products. Keep tabs on business associates and, basically do everything I can do on my desktop.

And, Brian White, Apple is very good at marketing, but its job is made MUCH easier by the fact it has very good products to market. We Apple "geeks" have known this for years. Apple's recent booming success is evidence everyone else is starting to realize the same thing.

And what do you mean by "with a real Web browser"? What do you think Safari is?

First Drive: 2008 Chevrolet Malibu {Autoblog}

Nov 6th 2007 4:28PM "I laughed when I saw the picture of the center armrest with the iPhone. All I could think was the photographer was saying, "Look guys! I'm cool and I have an iPhone!"."

Actually, the photographer, (that's me, btw), was thinking, "What do I have in my pocket that could show the relative size of this car's storage?"

Oh, and, yeah, my iPhone and I are cool. That's how we do it at Autoblog.

Fiat Uno low on horses, but full of bull {Autoblog}

Oct 26th 2007 2:36PM The author is not only aware of the badly done photochop, but is, in fact, responsible for the badly done photochop. It's the best I could do in about 10 minutes at 1 a.m.

The story, as clicking the link shows, is real.

Apple (AAPL) and AT&T (T) voiding warranties on modified iPhones {BloggingStocks}

Sep 24th 2007 2:53PM Voiding warranties on modified products is not something AT&T and Apple invented. Change the software on your car's computer and see if you can get anyone to fix it under warranty. Most hackers modifying their iPhones realize they risk owning a $400 iBrick. Stop with the anti-Apple FUD and get back to talking about how AAPL is flirting with a new all-time high.

Keyless entry pwned! Researchers say it takes less than an hour {Autoblog}

Aug 29th 2007 11:00PM So much for trying to inject a little Internet slang humor into a post about hacking cars. I just thought by now, surely, most Internet users would have at least run across the term. Heck, I've been old enough to drive for 22 years, and I know what it means.

Sources Say: Honda Stream coming to U.S. in 2009 {Autoblog}

Aug 29th 2007 3:04PM Oh joy! The Stream is a welcome addition to Honda's U.S. lineup and should not only give the Mazda5 some competition but maybe even bring some attention to that segment.
