This isn't the case with Chinese, who were ruled by barbaric Manchus(Themselves nomads before conquering China) until 1912.

Jul 23rd 2008 11:32AM To understand Chinese behavior, you must understand Chinese culture.
1. Democracy : To Chinese, Democracy means a rule by people. And "people" means a group of people more than one, not necessarily all the citizens. Hence Chinese think they are practicing Democracy(Rule by communist party members) and are totally clueless when the West accuse them of not being Democratic.
2. Intellectual Property Ownership : To Chinese, one can own only what he can physically touch. How can you own invisible things, like air, ideas, music, movies, car designs, etc??? You cannot own what you cannot touch, hence they must be shared by all.
3. Value of A Human Life : Value of human life in China is around $2,000. That's how much you would pay if you accidentally kill someone, or is shopping for a bride, etc. Of course movie stars and professionals are worth more, but the price of the life of an average Chinese citizen is $2,000.

And I think you should disown Chinese side of you and rediscover the Filipino side of yourself.

Very common. Remember, China is still a "communist" country where the means of making money(Such as Intellectual Property) is shared by everyone.

China never had a concept of "Intellectual Property" for the past 4000 years. This is a very foreign and recent concept they still do not fully comprehend. For example, the word "Democracy" in Chinese language is a loan word from Japanese and is less than 100 years old, and Chinese understanding of "Democracy" is very different from ours.

Chinese don't have concept of "Intellectual Property", so how can you sue another for the violation of it.
