May 22nd 2008 12:02AM Over 99% percent of people have to fists yet many people are still mugged, beaten, and raped by others. Guns are not the great equalizer they are purported to be. If everyone had them, only a small portion of the population would know how to effectively use them. Gun violence would increase as people were shot for their guns so that criminals could now kill with weapons not registered to them.

I thought the consensus was that they were working miracles on the budget, which really is not much to start an entirely new car company. I guess any amount is too much if the cars never show up. Hmmm, as I write this, I must admit, the whole scenario does sound a bit sketchy.

May 17th 2008 5:35PM I don't know, I agree about SUVs not necessarily being safer, but I saw a link to 1993 Metro and I focused on the "1993" and the fact that it was a cheaply built car, not a small car. SUV myths aside, you must agree that in 1993, a Metro was not exactly a showcase for either active or passive safety features.
