Great success it has been! Roughly 2500 from January-April.
Meanwhile..did you hear about that new Camaro?!

Jul 24th 2008 10:30AM I get the impression that Ford will eventually be in far better shape than GM and Chrysler. They have great products in Europe to pull from and Mulally has apparently been pushing the company to put more and smaller cars in the mix since the day he took the job. So, they didn't just wake up this morning and figure that out. It's been in the pipeline for a while.
Meanwhile, GM was busy showing everyone three years of teaser photos of the new Camaro, while most of their upcoming products take the form of some sort of large-ish crossover. Ford's already got a full lineup of crossovers and are well positioned to move on to where the demand is now...small cars.
Mahindra "keen" to buy HUMMER {Autoblog}
Jun 17th 2008 11:22AM One big difference. All those other vehicles are designed for a practical and functional purpose - hauling lots of either people or cargo. Now, there's no question that many of them turned into fashion statements, carried on a rising tide of cheap gas, but that was following a trend.
The H2 IS a trend. It was conceived to be a total in-your-face ego statement, with its myriad of scoops, chrome, giant wheels and generally ridiculous appearance. I remember statements by one of the lead designers around the time of its introduction, which blathered on in a pompous manner about how this vehicle was a "lifestyle" for people who understood its style and how so much more was going to be coming for it. Nowhere mentioned was that fact that it actually could scale mountains.
The thing is a fad whose time has passed. Time to move on.
First Drive: 2009 Ford Flex Limited AWD {Autoblog}
Jun 12th 2008 9:04AM This is hitting at just the right time, with mileage somewhat better than a lot of its competition and the main thing - it looks different. Whether you like it or not (I do) it will get people's attention and I think it will be perceived as a modern idea that would be a good transition from guzzling SUVs.
Are there other alternatives? Yes, but if you need the space, this one LOOKS like it is something completely new.

Jun 2nd 2008 4:19PM Whether by luck or ESP, Ford had done well with this. People were snickering when it was first announced that a V8 was not in the plan, but now this looks to be good package for the current market.

Apr 14th 2008 1:04PM Yawn. A third grader could've predicted this is what they'd do with the styling updates.
"Hey! Everything else now has an egg crate grille!" check!
"Hey! People love those side vents - especially shiny ones!" check!
"Hey! Can we change the rear bumper cheaply?" check!

Apr 10th 2008 4:01PM Much better than the current one, which looks like it's about to turn red from puffing it's cheeks full of air.
Taillights are sayin' Corolla though.

Apr 2nd 2008 12:57PM Now this doesn't look to have the odd wipers that park in the A pillar like much of the rest of their line. What's the deal with those anyway? Seems like a lot of fuss.
