Jul 25th 2007 11:00PM I used to work at a Ford dealer and everyone says that they don't want the saleman to pressure you. Baloney! I tried not pressuring my customers and doing all the things people said they wanted. I sold one truck in one month and got canned. People like being pressured and like being told what to do when they buy a car. The no-pressure tactic just doesn't work. No one buys.
When Fosterdad posted the above remarks he was 100 percent correct. I have been selling Chryslers for 13 years, Pressure is what works.
To the guy who said he bought a pontiac because the chrysler people would not let him drive the car and then over to wait on a family, what did he expect? He said had a learners permit. As a saleman I haven't sold 5 percent of the teenagers i waited on. It is a waste of time to talk to a guy who thinks he is a customer when he is too young to legally negotiate buy law.

Mar 17th 2007 3:18PM Toyota Makes reliable cars and sells lots of them. I don't have a problem with that. I have never owned an imported car but have nothing against the people who like them. If owning domestic cars and SUVs makes me a "redneck" I will gladly claim title. It sure beats being a metrosexual or a snobby sissy.

Mar 10th 2007 7:03PM I want who ever ends up with Chrysler to take action to correct the Jeep Grand Cherokee. I have had several of them including my current 2002 model. The current model WK is not superior to the WJ in way that I can see except possibly cornering on smooth roads. The current models lower sales figures are a reflection of it's failed redisgn.
