Shelby Heaven: Superformance opens new showroom {Autoblog}

Feb 23rd 2008 8:05PM Why are so many of the cars lacking tires? Is this a security measure of some sorts?

Fujitsu's Scaleo home server gets detailed {Engadget}

Feb 19th 2008 6:55PM The idea of a home server confuses me as well. How much data do people really have stored at home that a simple external hard-drive or a network attached storage device couldn't serve up?

And don't the very few who actually have a library of media (movies, tv, music) that is streamed throughout the house have a dedicated HTPC setup?

LG not ditching HD DVD just yet, hopes to accommodate early adopters {Engadget}

Feb 19th 2008 5:45PM I don't care what reason Blu-Ray won over HD-DVD. For all we really know, BR was victorious because of a flip of a coin. The important thing is that most of hold outs can make the jump to the next generation of device.

Geneva '08 Preview: Rinspeed sQuba Concept - For the spy who loves you {Autoblog}

Feb 14th 2008 11:25AM If only someone could invent some sort of self contained underwater breathing apparatus, the driver wouldn't have to hold his breath!

The Stig: Some say he's Lewis Hamilton {Autoblog}

Feb 4th 2008 8:19PM I've always assumed The Stig to be a small collection of people, not just one person. Much like the Santa Clause at the mall. Except these people have a real skill!

Ford already thinking about more aerodynamic F-150 {Autoblog}

Jan 22nd 2008 4:44PM "Ford design did attempt to go a little aero with the front end of the 10th generation 1997-2003 F-150, but that, frankly, wasn't what people expected from an American pickup."

Based on what information? As you know, for the past 30 years the F-150 has been the top-selling truck (and the top-selling vehicle of any type for 25 of those years.)

Your opinions aside, sales numbers talk, and it sounds to me like the shape of the 10th generation truck was EXACTLY what people expected from an American pickup at the time.

SEMA 2007: Ford Announces Poor Man's Racer with the FR500S Mustang {Autoblog}

Oct 31st 2007 9:24AM I love Mustangs (and racing one would be a lot of fun,) but I can't see the value proposition in this model. Why wouldn't I just buy a $25,000 V8 Mustang from my dealer, strip the interior, and add the ~$10,000 to ~$15,000 of equipment myself? There doesn't appear to be much offered here that I couldn't install on a car in my garage in a few weekends.

First 2009 Chevy Corvette ZR1 will be auctioned at Barrett-Jackson {Autoblog}

Oct 1st 2007 9:07AM Am I seeing this correctly? Autoblog is using a fan forum's speculation as an actual news source? That forum posting doesn't even have any citation or reference to prove that this car will in fact be auctioned at B-J.

Of course, you could avoid the whole 'fake news' thing by simply changing the headline to "First 2009 Chevy Corvette ZR-1 MAY be auctioned at Barrett-Jackson"

Of course, MY sources tells me that the second ZR-1 will be auctioned at B-J this year...

Apple trots out refurb iPhones, $100 off list price {Engadget}

Aug 20th 2007 12:55PM I'm pretty sure that 999 of the 4gb and 999 of the 8gb phones is nothing more than a ordering-system limit, and has nothing to do with the actual amount of phones you can order.
