MacBook Air Leopard disk only works with MacBook Air {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jan 30th 2008 1:57PM Not to be a hater, but the guys here at TUAW really aren't as well-versed in technology (or technology journalism) as their cousins over at Engadget. This isn't the first cringe-worthy post I've come across, by far, and it hurts your credibility.

Ask TUAW: reading Mac files from Windows, printing posters, VNC and more {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Aug 22nd 2007 7:06PM Regarding LogMeIn Free, it's really, really good. I manage a dozen or so clients using this system, and it's a real life saver.

I just installed it in two offices on about five Macs last week and it works as well as the Windows version- very fast, very lightweight, and a real lifesaver.

I'm surprised the author of the original post hadn't heard about it (then again, the Mac version is pretty new...).

Geneva Motor Show: Dodge's lil' devil - Demon revealed {Autoblog}

Mar 6th 2007 12:01PM I think it would be foolish not to produce this. It's about time Chrysler updated the Crossfire, which looks kind of nice, but can't compete with anything modern. A new Dodge Demon would allow Chrysler to change the sheetmetal and give us a new Crossfire, which they are needing pretty badly.

Or just kill the Crossfire all together. Either way...

Meet the 2008 Ford Taurus Heritage Edition {Autoblog}

Feb 15th 2007 12:32AM @Rob Huck,

Your experience with a Chrysler product is not the norm. If it was the norm, guess what: people wouldn't be buying Toyotas and Hondas in droves because of their tremendously better reliability.

And by the way, the later generation Tauruses sucked- big time. There is no way in hell that any intelligent consumer would look at a 2003 Honda Accord and a 2003 Taurus and say, "Gee whiz, that Ford is much nicer! Honey, let's pick one up." Ignorant consumers who know crap about cars might say that (these people must exist, since DMC has managed to sell at least SOME Sebrings and Stratuses in recent history, go figure that one).

Meet the 2008 Ford Taurus Heritage Edition {Autoblog}

Feb 14th 2007 10:36PM @Rob "Are you kidding me? That thing is ugly. Why not bring the Mondeo to the US. What do they think the American market is looking for? Horrible."

I'm not even commenting on your lack of observational skills. I will point out, however, that the Ford Mondeo is considered a compact car, riding on a slightly stretched C1 platform, and certainly no substitute size-wise for the 500/Taurus.

Anyway, I happen to think it looks a hell of a lot better than the current Ford 500 (isn't saying terribly much). Not bad, though- kind of classy.

New Jersey begins taxing iTS downloads like CDs and armored cars {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Oct 2nd 2006 3:16PM What's wrong with that? States have sales tax for a reason, and by buying things on the internet, you are bypassing that system. Rather than get upset when lawmakers try to get back funds that they deserve, under current law, the debate should be over sales tax itself.

In NY, I pay over 8.5% sales tax- it's a way of life here. In Alaska, there is not sales tax. It has to do with the respective economies of states.
