Here's what viewers say Katie Couric should do next {TV Squad}

May 6th 2008 2:45PM The reason that the number of respondents is 1,016 has to do with statistics. It is probably the sample size needed to achieve a targeted margin of error given the population that they're using. An introductory college statistics class covers this sort of issue.

The Bonnie Hunt Show cleared to to air {TV Squad}

Dec 5th 2007 4:26PM I have a relative that was a regular on an ABC show that was on at the same time as her show and a sibling that did a guest spot on Bonnie's show, and both tell me what a wonderful, warm person she is. However, there was some bad blood between her and the network, which is what influenced the cancellation of her show.

I hope that things go smoother this time around, as she'd be a great addition to any network's lineup.

Comcast TiVo makes it into the wild {Engadget HD}

Oct 22nd 2007 2:03PM I wonder how long it will take Comcast before they decide that they need to "monetize" the Tivo service and begin putting ads on the screen, as they did with their own guide. It's a good development, though, and hopefully it'll get rolled out quickly.

Seven things I learned from the 2006-07 television season {TV Squad}

Jun 9th 2007 2:02PM Did you even watch 7th Heaven? It was about half way into the run that they started replacing characters, not the last season. Fans weren't shocked to see it get cancelled, either. There was tons of talk on message boards for the last three or four years wondering when they were finally going to put the show out of its misery. The issue was that the finale was hyped so much, a (lame) final episode aired, and THEN it was brought back from the dead. Yes, the last season had new random characters, too, but they were brought in as a way to spend less on salaries, so that the more veteran random replacements (i.e., Haylie Duff, the baseball player dude) were used in fewer episodes.

Jaguar joins BMW in offering HD Radio {Autoblog}

Apr 4th 2007 10:34AM Some would say that the main stumbling block to HD Radio is content. We've heard it all before -- mediocre music pushed by the music industry, far too many commercials, concentrated media ownership creating calculated customer segments and killing unique stations, and inane morning shows have driven the radio industry into the ground, opening up the opportunity for satellite radio and podcasts to emerge. The radio has responded with their "Jack" format, but in my opinion, it's too little too late.

No matter how good the sound quality, crappy content is still crappy content.

Feb 16th 2007 9:27PM Why do you think this is a big deal? This happened to my Saab more than once in Michigan, and it thawed out and ran fine.

Hey America, are you talking about Studio 60 today? {TV Squad}

Feb 7th 2007 2:13AM I stopped watching two episodes ago, not wanting to invest any moe time in this show that I felt wasn't going anywhere. I checked these comments out of curiosity, and it looks like I'm nt missing anything.
