Free speech is not the issue here. its being sensitive to your customers. everyone would be up in arms about an ad that made fun of mentally challenged people, and this is no different.

Jan 19th 2007 6:42PM Those statistics are misleading. it should be # of recalls per # of cars sold. It could be that GM and Ford went down because they are loosing market-share faster than the Titanic took on water.

Jan 16th 2007 3:42PM Lutz is a dinosaur that needs to be put out to the pasture before GM becomes extinct. His "new & exciting" products like the Chevy Cobalt, new Lumina and the GM minivans would have been revolutionary 15 years ago but are now just tired and crappy. the trucks will be next to go once the new Tundra comes out. the only thing keeping GM alive is the H3. Cadillac had a little spark which is fading even quicker than it came.
GM doesn't need a "veteran of the auto industry" to run its product line. it needs some fresh blood and new thinking.. and FAST!!

I rented a Saturn at Avis a month ago and it was still a piece of junk. the interior felt flimsy and nowhere near the Japanese ones (not to mention European cars).. He can say its the design but as long as GM puts out POS malibus, saturns, cobalts, etc. they'll never regain the top.
