Molyneux: Fable 2 Pub Game exploit was intentional {Xbox 360 Fanboy}
Sep 18th 2008 3:44AM This is a brilliant idea...kudos to Lionhead for coming up with it! The game wasn't really one I'd planned to buy, but I might just have to check it out if they're that crafty...

Sep 17th 2008 5:09AM I'm surprised you didn't have to look up Pamida. I've only seen one in my life, and it was in a town well off the beaten path.
It's not a glitch, Tiger is just that good {Xbox 360 Fanboy}
Aug 22nd 2008 4:36AM EA have devolved into a bunch of anti-competitive uncreative hacks when it comes to their games.
But I have to give credit where credit is due. That's hilarious. The most imaginative thing to come out of EA in many years.
Craiglist Find of the Day: Collection of Cadillac Cimarrons... oh, yeah {Autoblog}
Aug 20th 2008 2:01PM I once owned the Oldsmobile version of the J-body platform, and while the Firenza was a decent little car and quite efficient, it was in no way worthy of being a Cadillac.
EA Sports' Moore sets sights on eclipsing Nike brand {Joystiq}
Aug 15th 2008 4:42AM He wants EA Sports to be like ESPN, Nike, Reebok, etc?
You know what all of those brands have in common? They have competition. ESPN doesn't have exclusive rights to sports highlight shows, the NFL, NASCAR, and soccer, and Nike doesn't have exclusive rights to make basketball shoes. And why are they successful? Marketing plays a part for sure, but their lofty statuses are largely thanks to putting out a product that's superior to the competition and *earning* consumers' dollars and their respective reputations.
Something to think about if he's really serious.

Lutz chimes in on the Chevy Beat {Autoblog}
Jul 7th 2008 1:03AM "The longer General Motors deliberates, the longer it's going to get beaten by competitors who have product ready to go right now. Don't wait for for the popcorn-chompers to play focus group and beg for these cars next summer."
They did exactly this with the Camaro. When they showed it off at the January 2006 NAIAS, the knees of most everyone who saw it went weak and their mouths said, "Oh please sell this car! I have money!" It wasn't until AUGUST of that year that development was finally announced. That car was an absolute no brainer...Wagoner should have been on the phone to HQ immediately after seeing the reaction to the reveal saying build this thing now. And now, it's not going to hit lots until the Challenger is firmly entrenched and gas is five bucks per gallon.
And now the Beat, which was first shown in April of last year and voted on as superior to GM's other two minicar concepts in September, is just now getting some maybe-kinda-sorta attention?
Another Naruto game on the way: Broken Bond {Xbox 360 Fanboy}
Jul 4th 2008 5:02AM I personally enjoyed the fighting system. I don't normally like most fighting games due to the myriad controls that require rote memorization to do anything beyond a simple punch, and Naruto: ROAN's fighting controls made a lot of sense. Moving around the game world felt very fluid and natural, the controls were intuitive, and the interfaces were easy to navigate.
Overall, it was a good game that could have been a great game with a bit more polish. In terms of graphics, audio, and ambience, you couldn't ask for better....it gives an excellent feel of actually being in the cartoon. However, a lot of the set pieces got pretty repetitive by the time you got to the end, and if you didn't know much about the show, some plot elements and characters are introduced rather jarringly with some very rough cutscene transitions. Enemies also got very old...there were only a few noteworthy battles with a lot of same-old-same-old random encounter battles in between.
I was really hoping Ubisoft Montreal would do a sequel. They have a great foundation for another game. If they're using the same engine and general structure, but putting in more in-depth missions with more varied environments and activities (e.g. NO HERB COLLECTING!) and more varied enemies to face, it's going to be a winner.
It's historic! GTAIV receives its first patch {Xbox 360 Fanboy}
Jun 24th 2008 5:00AM Insomnious, criticism usually involves providing examples of what you don't like and explaining why you don't like it, and then possibly making suggestions as to what would do to improve the experience. Just saying "it sucks" adds absolutely nothing to the conversation.
Toyota halts 2008 Highlander sales as part of recall {Autoblog}
May 3rd 2008 7:01PM I'm just shocked Toyota's actually calling it a "recall." Usually whenever Toyota issues recalls, they try to give them cutesy soft doublespeak names to save face.
