No stone unturned: Hamann does the Ferrari 612, too {Autoblog}

May 4th 2007 9:15AM Good God....Tuners....please listen up....the 612 was designed as a GT car....the one where you travel from London to Switzerland to go skiing. If Ferrari really intended a track ready sports car they would have built one....oh wait, there's a F430 and an Enzo! Leave these cars alone!

Hamann, please get back to building body kits for 3 series BMWs so spoiled upper middle class kids have something to slap on their first cars.

Have Murci! Hamann tricks the Murcielago LP640 {Autoblog}

May 1st 2007 10:23AM Please, please....tuners...leave the designing to the real designers...with original design intent.

I like the wheels. So more wings for the sake of having wings? Even if it were the lightest carbon fiber on earth, its still in addition to what is already on the car! Replace all of the body work with carbon fiber, then make some bona fide aero modifications that you engineer in a wind tunnel, then you can put your grubby paws on a masterpiece....

Actually, if Hamann redesigned the interior of the Murcielago, then its adding some value.

Kill the Dream Cruise! Retired teacher wants to end Woodward's fun run {Autoblog}

Apr 17th 2007 11:03PM Ok, this is some good debating...almost as good as the pro choice/pro life deal.

Yes, there are environmental issues with fossil fuel consumption and air pollution. What good is a clean earth though if everyone is going to die from starvation or disease or at the least, a 3rd world county society?

Fossil fuels, although with all of the pros and cons in this world, cannot be suddenly be shut down in the global sense. Fossil fuels in a macro economic view, is pretty much the lifeline of the world. Before this 80% reduction is demanded by all of these tree huggers, there needs to be an unprecedented plan put together to switch the infrastructure of the entire world to cope without fossil fuels.

You can't simply just say I'm not going to buy gas or drive electric cars or hybrid cars. Resources do not just stop. You displace one form for another. Take away gas, then electric plants have to produce more for electric cars..etc.etc.

This hippie teacher is out of her mind. I think even totally disillusioned to think that she would make a difference. Tell her to go somewhere else to work out her post menopausal frustrations. I don't know the exact numbers, but cars don't even come close to being the #1 polluter of the world.

No, really, joking aside, it was terrible.

Our eyes! Lamborghini Alar Concept revealed {Autoblog}

Apr 11th 2007 10:29AM Holy Cow! It never amazes me that this came out of South America....no offense to the culture (very interesting as is) But it seems there is a certain South American design influence that doesnt follow traditional European trends....which is what the world feels is "good". Those designers in the bottom half always have that weird aesthetic style...

Why the world rips on us: Dimora's JX Coupe Concept {Autoblog}

Mar 25th 2007 3:38PM Ok.....

You take an ugly car, put an ugly hood scoop on it, then take the ugly ass end and turn it into a truck, then put ugly paint on it with ugly wheels and paste ugly portholes (which are in a random place)....by looking at the "designer" I see how this creation came to be.

Does all of those ugly components somehow turn out great? I don't think so....the sum of the details in design don't work like mathematics...all the negatives don't turn out postive in the end!

Hyundai "BH" in U.S. by 2008, will not replace Korea's Equus {Autoblog}

Mar 23rd 2007 2:21PM I'm a very materistic shallow bastard....but with that said...I LOVE the Azera and Sonata and this concept....Hyundais are great cars nowadays. I've found myself thinking of trading my Audi in for an Azera....but can't bring myself to it just yet. I'm thinking in 5 years time, Hyundai is going to achieve close to Acura reputation. Then...who knows...maybe I wont care about being shallow anymore!

Definitely some applaus to Hyundai.

SSC confident Ultimate Aero TT will be will be world's fastest soon {Autoblog}

Mar 23rd 2007 2:10PM Yo WHITE,

You don't have to live below the Mason Dixon line to be a hick....there's hicks in the UK as well. BTW who the hell said anything about rednecks? A little Freudian slip?

As for your suggestion to give credit where credit is due, pretty much anyone with a decent knowledge of fabrication and engineering can make a tube chassis car with a giant engine stuck to it. No one until SSC thought really that it was a big deal to go after this world record that is all. Now at 250 MPH, an accident is going to be messy no matter what you're travelling in. BUT I'd much rather be in a Veyron than a fiber (whether carbon, or glass) bodied aluminum ladder with 1200hp strapped to it.

I'm pretty sure that GM, Ford, or anyother auto manufacturer could achieve Veyron performance, just a matter of cost and resources. Thats not the bit I'm interested in. The fact that you'd want a glorifed go kart for the only reason of going as fast or slightly faster than a Veyron is idiotic. Obviously the market is flooded with these mom and pop track car companies so I guess what they're after is some free press (that is the only thing I can agree with).

The fact that you think that myself or others who agree with me are Euro-trash wannabes is stupid. Certain European marques just have better technology, build, design, etc. than most American cars....because of the philosophy of quality over quantity not the inverse of that which is "american".

Soooo go to Walmart and buy that extra large pack of potato chips....you'll need 1200hp to get your car up to 60.

I'm not even beginning to say that I'd ever be in the market for a Veyron, but with that said, I would be purchasing the lower tier of the sportscar segment....and anything American is not on that list. Not because the fact it just American, because the fact is that its shitty value. Not everything cheap is great value. Its the benefits versus cost (which isn't always how fast it is in the 1/4 mile and how many HP it has for a car of that PP).
