Future Classic: 1991-94 Nissan Sentra SE-R {Autoblog}

Apr 26th 2007 11:31AM I went through everything to get the last year NX2000 in 93, flying from Miami, FL to Ohio to get one in electronic blue. It was worth every penny of the 17K paid for it new (yes the best gift my parents ever gave me). The car was amazing for the price and at 19 I didn't wish for anything more. The handling was amazing in the NX2000 which had the limited slip diff as standard (it was only an option on the SE-R), only 3.5 inches off the ground from the factory it was included in Motor Trends 10 best handling cars ever and won as #7. Not bad for a cheap car. It always caught looks with the t-tops off and it's still the car I always miss. Too bad that it went through rotors every 5K miles and the abs electronics never worked correctly which brought me into the dealerships every two weeks. They could never fix it and after a call with a Nissan VP who was rude as hell with me. I traded in the car.

The only car I've owned that I liked driving as much was my '03 EVO. Yes two totally different cars, but both very rewarding in their own ways.

VIDEO: Lexus IS-F revving it up {Autoblog}

Jan 23rd 2007 6:10PM I think the whole point of the F-series of cars and in particular the IS-F is to bring in folks who would of never considered a Lexus product before.

Look what the V-series has done for Cadillac, I mean, how many CTS folks would really buy a V-series version; but how many walked into a Cadillac dealership for the first time because of the CTS-V?

I personally think Lexus will bring in a lot more folks because of the F-series of cars than Cadillac has or will with their V-series.

Subaru Justy set to make a comeback? {Autoblog}

Jan 22nd 2007 11:26AM Ah, so I'm not the only one that dreamed of getting a 323GTX as one of my first vehicles?

In all honesty, I believe that the Daihatsu pic above would make a good Subaru Justy in the U.S., not that we would see it on these shores. The only thing that would make me believe it wasn't a Subbie are the framed windows, but add a turbo and awd and price it below the Suzuki SX4 and I think Subaru would have a winner in the U.S. for all the youth that would love a WRX but couldn't afford to buy one or insure one. Horespower doesn't have to be crazy, it just needs to handle well and be really fun to drive.

Subaru of America would never allow this car to be sold here and I doubt they will ever understand how to properly market their cars.

This coming from a Subaru owner who loves his car, just doesn't care for what SOA is doing for Subaru in the U.S.

Volvo thinks it needs more crossovers and wagons {Autoblog}

Jan 17th 2007 6:24PM I say what Volvo needs is a V50R with the V70R's powerplant stuffed under the hood. I would of easily skipped the manual tranny '05 Legacy GT Ltd Wagon I bought and gone directly for a manual V50R, as the V50 awd T5 just didn't have enough grunt for me, especially when it was priced well over the Subbie which offered more power and more room in a tighter handling package. I would of easily paid an extra 5K for a 300hp Volvo Wagon, where the V70R just didn't have the right looks at the right price for me.

M5 Wagon won't come Stateside {Autoblog}

Jan 12th 2007 8:44AM Damn, time to find a new desktop picture, I hate pining away at cars I can never even have. I was really looking forward to driving a wagon with more than twice as much power than the turbo legacy wagon I'm driving now. With the M5 estates towing rating, I wouldn't need a truck either which would easily allow me to obtain the bimmer.

Oh well, let's hope Audi wises up, as I'd prefer to have awd up here in the North East.

Jan 9th 2007 3:27PM Wow, there is a god. I will buy one if they sell it in the U.S.

Detroit Auto Show: Mitsubishi Prototype X concept {Autoblog}

Jan 8th 2007 5:00PM The new styling doesn't do much for me, there are a lot of inconsistencies that ruin it for me. The interior is a major let down as this is where the EVO needed much improvement, and I can see some carry over parts for the VII and IX and it looks cheap as hell. The paint on the the cars looks like crap.

With all that said, I'm ready to put down a deposit on one.

My EVO VIII may of been ugly, had a cheap looking interior and the paint sucked on it. But it was the most rewarding car to drive I've ever owned, the interior may of been boring and cheap looking, but it was completely functional (with the exception of the small speedometer).

I will start saving today.

So is anyone willing to bet the EVO X will be delivered with 400HP?
