Chevrolet Camaro SS laps the 'Ring in... 8:20 {Autoblog}

Jul 22nd 2008 9:09PM A lot of you guys commenting here crack me up... high-fiving each other because the Camaro stacks up some "name" marques while conveniently overlooking the fact that it will be Chevrolet's #3 sports car when it comes out. All that these ring times prove is how awesome the Cobalt SS is for the money.

VIDEO: Watch your height... {Autoblog}

Jul 17th 2008 12:13PM Was that part of the building even structurally sound? Shouldn't those concrete columns supporting a (clearly) very heavy roof have been reinforced with steel rebar? You can see that the right column *completely disintegrates* after it tips over from a height of 10ft. The driver's still a moron, but I'd like to think a building would fare better in a low-speed collision with a trailer.

'09 Challenger brochure hits the web, retro overload ensues {Autoblog}

Jun 30th 2008 2:19AM The claim struck me as somewhat pathetic too (69hp/L all time record, really?!), but thankfully a 2-minute search turned up numerous better examples from Chrysler. They apparently forgot about these cars too:

Neon R/T - 75hp/L
Neon SRT4 - 93hp/L
Crossfire SRT6 - 103hp/L
Caliber SRT4 - 119hp/L

...and I imagine there are many more.

Sep 9th 2007 3:31AM Ran into almost the exact problem with Google Maps in Quebec when it led me to a dangerous road that was closed for the winter when I was trying to reach Mont. Tremblant. The moral of such stories is to never trust a computer when it suggests a backroads shortcut; they'll send you up a hiking path if it might trim your travel distance by 100 ft.
