Karnataka, India banning cellphones for kids under 16? {Engadget}
Sep 13th 2007 9:27PM Sure, because people 16 and older are immune to any harm which can be caused by cellphones (is that even proven yet?) and if you're younger, the danger is that much higher.
This ban makes no sense

Texting while driving in the UK could get you 2 years in jail {Autoblog}
Sep 10th 2007 4:55PM "Some say the risk of 2 years in the pokey might finally get people to pay attention behind the wheel."
Sorry, but that is such a medival way of thinking, and I see the UK heading in that direction with all their rediculous punishments associated with their laws. 2 years in jail for sending a text message? I'm completely against using the phone in anyway in the car while driving, but getting 2 years in jail is what you deserve if you commit a crime, why ruin someone's life because they sent an sms!?! A high fine and stricter policing is whats required, this proposal of jailing people is like cutting someones hand off for stealing, it won't lower the number of deaths caused by phone usage in cars.

Aug 7th 2007 8:25PM I agree that Transformers was pretty over done with the GM placement, but I don't think that was anything compared to the "Rise of the Silver Surfer" when the Human Torch asks "is it a Hemi?" to which Mr Fantastic reply's "of course"
