Tata Nano may be branded a Fiat in overseas markets {Autoblog}
Jul 24th 2008 4:13PM "Should be called the Tata Nono."
Thanks goodness it's not called this way. In the French-Canadian slang in Quebec, Canada, both "tata" and "nono" means idiot, imbecile.
I guess Tata might heard of the tata meaning in Quebec, they try to do the same move then GM did in Canada by calling the Lacrosse "Allure"
U.S. Nissan Cube site hits the web {Autoblog}
Jul 21st 2008 7:24AM It could be interesting to know if the upcoming shortened version of the Renault Kangoo might use the Nissan Cube platform? (There some pics of a clay model at http://www.leblogauto.com/2008/07/indiscretion-le-renault-kangoo-compact.html )
It might also span the upcoming smaller Dodge model (maybe the Hornet) as well.

Jul 19th 2008 11:36AM I wonder if this system could be use with smaller-engines in the GM pick-up truck line-up like the 4.8L, 5.3L V8s as well as the V6 version?
Also, since the two-mode hybrid done in joint-venture with Chrysler, BMW and Mercedes, it'll be under the hood of the Dodge Ram (and perhaps thanks to a agreement with Nissan http://www.autobloggreen.com/2008/04/14/chrysler-and-nissan-play-to-strengths-swap-cars-and-trucks/ under the hood of the Titan as well ), will Dodge will use it with the 4.7L V8 or the Hemi?

Jul 16th 2008 10:06AM Good point Brian and let's not forget Nissan with the Titan, Armada, Infiniti QX56, Pathfinder.
We'll be interesting to see the upcoming Honda Pilot and the upcoming Acura V10 model, I wonder if a smart guy will tease by saying "Honda's new gas-guzzler". Sure I know then Honda wasn't caught as the others (do they sleep in bed with oil companies? LOL), however most of the sales are from mainly on Japan and the North American market for the car line-up while worlwide, Hyundai is now ahead of Honda in terms of car production.

Jul 14th 2008 3:29PM maybe we could imagine in the future a "Camaro D28" (D for "diesel") ;-) I spotted a quote at

"...Do whaddaya say? Are you ready for a Camaro D28 and Mustang TD?..."
Uncertain future for Ford's RWD vehicles, more EcoBoost on the way {Autoblog}
Jul 14th 2008 10:18AM Ford should keep with the full-size RWD program but add a 4-cyl Ecoboost and come to think of it if it's possible to add a variant who use the Miller cycle like the one in use for the new-gen Mazda 2? http://www.autobloggreen.com/2007/05/31/japanese-market-mazda2-gets-new-miller-cycle-engine/ (and some European Duratorq I4 and V6 diesel engines made in joint-venture with Peugeot-Citroen, I wonder if someone from Europe could give us additionnals infos about them?)

Jul 13th 2008 10:54AM Still, it's a very nice "what if", one even ponder to how revive Plymouth http://brandlandusa.blogspot.com/2008/02/down-road-for-chrysler-plymouth-dealers.html
and some imagined some other "what if" like a 1962 DeSoto ;-) http://www.whatifcars.com/gallery/What-If-Cars/62_Desoto_Adventurer

Jul 11th 2008 1:00PM CanadaDoc have a point there. I hope then the 2nd-gen biofuels like cellulosic ethanol or even the 3rd-gen biofuels like algae don't suffer about this either (there even some possiibilities to create ethanol from aglae like Algenol currently works on this http://www.algenolbiofuels.com/ )
