More specs and speculation about the Nissan GT-R {Autoblog}
Sep 25th 2007 12:23PM I think the width is way off. Why would the GT-R be nearly 20 inches NARROWER than the G35/G37 Coupe? Doesn't make any sense.
Consumer Reports says: keep your car for 225,000 miles {Autoblog}
Sep 7th 2007 12:11AM Am I missing something or are repairs and maintenance free?
We had a 1999 VW Jetta V6 and the thing cost more money to "maintain" than any new car I could think of.
Compare that with an Acura TL or Acura RL lease (not cheap but affordable), which includes all service, and I'd rather pay a known amount (and not worry) rather than drive a 13 year old sh-tbox that may fail (or cost me an arm and a leg) at any time.
Thanks again CR for completely useless information.
In The Autoblog Garage: 2007 Kia Amanti {Autoblog}
Jul 17th 2007 12:48PM Why can't anyone say what they feel about the Amanti:
THIS CAR IS CRAP.
The suspension and design both make me nauseous.

Jun 15th 2007 12:05PM I had a "Acura Master Technician" install the WRONG COLOR headliner, then argue with me that it was the right color (beige vs. grey). Ultimately I had to go to the manager and show him the discoloration (thankfully my car "shows" the headliner color when the sunroof is open) before they would do anything.
CarFax begins offering airbag deployment info for free {Autoblog}
May 8th 2007 8:29AM I checked a car that should have confirmed airbag deployed but did not. Unreliable.
"Kramer's" Racist Tirade -- Caught on Tape {TMZ}
Nov 21st 2006 4:11PM I think what we're missing here is that audience members *were* heckling (with reverse-racists epitaphs) while Michael Richards was doing his job (performing).
I've been to a number of comedy shows when audience members (some drinking, others sober) started making comments and disrupted the show. These places make it easy to drink - especially with "2+ mandatory drinks per show."
Personal case in point - Bobcat Golthwait. While he didn't go racist (it was white-on-white) he did use a lot of profanity and started going nuts on college students. Who lost that battle? The students. Bobcat had them removed.
Clearly Michael Richards should have exercised a bit more restraint (and better judgment), but if someone singles me out and repeatedly calls me a "cracker" in public, I'm going to verbally fight back. The response from the audience member quoted in the TMZ.com article confirms the intelligence (or lack thereof) of the person screaming "cracker."
Bluetooth Mighty Mouse power save hack {Engadget}
Aug 1st 2006 5:01PM Why in God's name wouldn't you simply REMOVE THE BATTERIES to save battery life ?!?!?
Zero power draw.
and I thought Linux users were all senseless hackers...
Unboxing the new Mighty Mouse {Engadget}
Jul 28th 2006 12:09PM to the person saying this is the only "true" wireless mouse - yeah sure it's "truly" wireless when used with a "true" Macintosh.
But so would be the Logitech and other mice - I'll stick with my "truely" wireless Logitech MX700 thanks.

Kia's updated Opirus may give sneak peek at new Amanti {Autoblog}
Jul 17th 2006 2:14PM Number 1: It's still a piece of trash. It probably still bobs and dips like a 1982 Buick Skylark.
Number 2: The front turn signals are yellow LED's (for absolutely no good reason). This is the same as the current car, and quite annoying to look at when an Amanti is coming towards you with the turn signals on.
Case in point: my Korean dry cleaner got rid of hers after 6 months and bought a Nissan Murano. Even national pride can't overcome crap.
