Tweaked 2009 Ford Focus Coupe debuts {Autoblog}
May 13th 2008 11:28AM Large improvement although after driving one I would expect the car to take full advantage of the power train warranty. Rough coarse engine and boggy transmission. Too bad for Ford.
Sorry, your SUV is now worthless {Autoblog}
Apr 30th 2008 9:52AM Know We get back to market fundamentals when people buy cars based on need. I think gas prices and the economy could send large truck/SUV sales down another 30% for the rest of the year. Boat sales and recreational vehicles will also slow so there will be less to tow.
Trouble at the top? Toyota vehicles sitting longer on dealer lots {Autoblog}
Apr 28th 2008 4:07PM One caveat. The GM hybrids are over 40K! The economy will not be helped by people using more gas and spending more outside their means.

Apr 28th 2008 3:32PM I'll have to agree with the fake stig. Toyota should have stayed out of this market all together. Instead they should have plowed R&D into a V-8 Tacoma double cab, a supercharged 4 cylinder Tacoma and a small car based pickup. Also with the 4 runner so large who needs the sequoia?
Pontiac to hype the Hell out of the G8 {Autoblog}
Mar 4th 2008 7:25PM Four door Pontiac GTO. I expect better sales because it is more practical and comes with V6 but the size, the fuel economy, and the bland looks will hurt this car after a year.
The GTO was plagued with quality problems and I think word has gotten around. I'm sure we'll get a post where a guys brother in laws neighbor put on 350,000 miles while getting 35 mpg while their civic exploded after taking off the dealer lot but the facts are the facts.
Call the charger ugly but at least the car is distinctive. Large RWD sedans (and even coupes) are in the way out again. People are opting for HO v-6 or 4 bangers with turbos. Bullitt mustangs are selling for under sticker! Also The Cadillac dealer is offering great deals on the sharp CTS.

Geneva 2008: smart fortwo limited two and smart navigation guide {Autoblog Green}
Mar 4th 2008 3:03PM I like this car compared to the iQ except for the lack of 1 seat. It look more sporty while the iQ looks like a Frog. Does anyone know whether the Smarts are reliable. That would be the breaking point for me vs a Toyota product.
Geneva '08: The 3+1 seat Toyota iQ {Autoblog Green}
Mar 4th 2008 3:00PM The name iQ is a horrible play on the smart name. Toyota should come up with its own identity not be known as a "smart with 3 seats". I think the smart looks far sportier and the power train details are not even out. So for now I still like the smart more. Expect a Japaneses K car engine though which doesn't produce good economy or acceleration in US driving. I'll take an Aygo over this. I couldn't imagine Toyota putting this car below the Yaris though. I mean 9000 dollar Toyota? Not likely.
