Toyota responds to Ford's new initial quality ads {Autoblog}
May 13th 2008 12:04PM Tracy,
He said 50,000km (about 35,000 miles). And some of the things he mentioned happened last August. If I had multiple nagging issues in the FIRST TWO YEARS of buying a brand new car, why stick with that brand? Unless I was a diehard Ford fanboy, I would look elsewhere. I thought I was a Mitsubishi fanboy after owning my Eclipse for 11 years, but I'm sooo glad I got rid of that headache.

May 12th 2008 4:38PM I've driven it about 22,000 miles (35,000 km).
I agree about the seat issue when I first got the car, but it doesn't bother me at all now. Also, the 2009 update apprently corrects this. The biggest issue I have with the Sonata is the loud chime noise when you leave the door open with the ignition on.
Is Hyundai targeting Texas for a new manufacturing plant? {Autoblog}
May 12th 2008 12:07PM If it is a new Hyundai plant I suspect it will be manufacturing Hyundai's RWD platform cars (after a year or two of importing them from Korea). The Alabama plant says it has room for another platform -- perhaps the new FWD sports car, if and when Hyundai or Kia decides to produce them?

May 12th 2008 11:52AM Ouch! You really had all those problems? I don't want to start a flame war, but my 2yr old Sonata hasn't had a single problem. If I had those problems you mentioned, I would never buy a car from that manufacturer again. That's probably why I can't see myself ever buying a Ford or a Mitsubishi again after owning them.

May 6th 2008 11:24AM Well they seem to be doing something right. Hyundai and Kia increased sales in April 2008 over April 2007 in the U.S. and in Canada.

May 2nd 2008 4:33PM It's already been determined he is a troll. May even be a domestic fanboy trying to rile up fellow domestic fanboys.
By the Numbers: April 2008 {Autoblog}
May 1st 2008 11:43PM Wow, it looks like Toyota, Honda and Hyundai are the big winners in Canada. They're the only ones that sold 2,000 more vehicles than in the previous April.
