Forbes lists top 10 family cars {Autoblog}

Jul 6th 2008 10:37PM Autoblog, I would advise that you start choosing better bloggers to write these stories. I hope this is a one time thing, but Chris Tutor, if I wanted to read a completely biased article I would pick up a Consumer Reports and look for a Honda or Toyota section. I don't care what your personal feelings are about a certain car. Its fine for you to suggest different cars that could have made a certain category, but for you to begin to argue on those cars' behalf is just unprofessional.

Also, would it be that much to ask for you to re-read your articles before you actually post them? I understand that everyone makes mistakes once in a while, but it is kind of your job to write well. The (non)sentence, "And while the VW gives up 110 horses to the Saab's 280, but the VW gets, on average, 24 mpg to the Saab's 18." is a sentence fragment. Just food for thought...

VIDEO: Kia dealership uses Obama impersonator to sell Sorentos {Autoblog}

Jun 13th 2008 10:56PM Let me start off, Johnny, for apologizing for replying to your comment as sooooo many others have done, but I'm not responding to your claim that John Stewart would make an awesome president (though he would).

No, in fact, I'm responding to the idiots who only want to put fear into americans just so they can achieve their (and others) political ambitions. Barack Obama is not a Muslim. His father was from Kenya, and died when he was two. His (white) mother (an athiest) raised him with his (white) granparents in the most non-muslim of states, Hawaii. Yes, he did spend a couple years of his childhood in Indonesia, i believe, but why would that make him a muslim. Barack Obama, until recently, has gone to the same CHRISTIAN church for 20 years.

By the way, even if Obama was Muslim, which he obviously isn't, I would still vote for him. Why is it wrong for the president of the united states to be of any other religion than christianity when this country was founded on freedom of religion???? Barack Obama has done more to inspire this country than any person, politician or otherwise, since Bobby Kennedy and MLK.

REPORT: Production-trim Chevy Volt to be shown in Paris {Autoblog}

May 18th 2008 8:58PM I'm not quite sure if Paris is the best place to unveil the volt, but no one in here has yet touched on autoblog's last point. If GM is unveiling the volt in Paris (which is before detroit), what could they possibly unveil in detroit that could possibly be better (remember, detroit is THE place to unveil a car, at least for American car companies)? My hopes reside with a new RWD impala, although that is unlikely that it will be RWD, a buick coupe, possibly a CUV version of the Volt, or a unibody pickup. Other smaller unveilings might include the STS/DTS replacement and XLR replacement, or possibly the next gen. Chevy Cobalt.

Tweaked 2009 Ford Focus Coupe debuts {Autoblog}

May 13th 2008 12:02PM hmmmm... "dark chrome" never make a car look better. Especially a stock car. The wheels seriously look terrible, like they are dirty. Same with the front end. Maybe it looks better in different colors, but red is not working with its new update. And I didn't think I would ever say it, but I kind of miss the fender vent. It made the side profile at least kind of exciting.

2011 twin-turbo'd BMW M5 to produce 550 hp {Autoblog}

May 7th 2008 3:01PM "It's no surprise that BMW plans to attempt to bring its uber-saloon up to AMG-levels of power when the new M5 debuts in 2011."

Nice of you to conveniently forget that the CTS-V will make at least 550 hp.

By the Numbers: April 2008 {Autoblog}

May 1st 2008 9:42PM Woot!!!

Jag is up. Don't knock them just because they are finally starting to recover. A normal month (ie. one without the new XF) would have produced a very large red number, of probably around -30, so a +15% can almost be like an overall net of +45%.

As far as GM, Ford, and Chrysler go, I'm rooting for them, but this month was not good in the least.

Spy Shots: 2010 Ford Taurus... finally {Autoblog}

Apr 10th 2008 6:14AM I kinda see Interceptor concept in the window line. But I agree with Autoblog, the side profile is (FINALLY) kinetic design, and the front profile, though I would prefer a bigger low air intake, is MUCH improved. I hope this is something like the final product, and I hope it comes soon.

Spy Shots: 2009 Honda Pilot {Autoblog}

Apr 10th 2008 6:11AM And April Fool's was how many days ago?

But seriously, I have to wonder if Honda is doing a very elaborate study in order to find out if people will still buy ugly ass cars soley because of a company's reputation. Well, I guess its working for the CR-V.

Ford developing new rear-drive platform in Dearborn {Autoblog}

Mar 25th 2008 12:45AM I'm honestly just in the American "bag", and I'm honestly only ripping on Ford because they aren't the company that they could be. I agree that Ford is doing much better, and their quality is certainly impressive, but they are not making cars that people really WANT to drive (excluding the Edge, F150, and Mustang).

Ford developing new rear-drive platform in Dearborn {Autoblog}

Mar 24th 2008 8:05PM Wow, you're obviously in Ford's bag. I used to be until I realized that other companies make superior products, and no, I'm not talking about toyota. First of all, the Edge is overweight for its size, and all of the automags agree. The base Edge (without the heavy panoramic roof) is 4288 lbs. That is hardly light for a 5 passenger anything.

The Fusion does have the wrong engine. 220 hp is nothing compared to what Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Chevy, and Saturn have available. I'm not saying it isn't enough, its just not as much as what you can get in the competition.

You are truly blinded by Ford if you think the "all new" Focus is anything but a lame design atop a tired platform.

And finally, Ford does have way too many CUV's and SUV's. Whether its convenient in your count or not, the Escape is an SUV (or CUV, whichever you prefer). So in total, Ford has the Escape, Edge, Flex, Taurus X, Explorer, and Expedition. The Flex, Taurus X, Explorer, and Expedition are all 8 passenger vehicles, and they all guzzle gas.
