Oct 10th 2008 3:17PM Maybe someone can clarify something for me since I am a total noob. My wife goes into Circuit City and by the lastest and greatest laptop, brings it home and I turn it on to set it up and it's got Vista 64 on it. Now she can't print because we have a Dell printer that isn't supported. Calling Dell support, they tell her that there isn't an updated driver for Vista 64 yet and probably won't be until the spring.
1) Will using this solve the problem?
2) Do I need a XP cd with a key?
I really don't want to go out and buy a new printer... especially when it's something as easy as a driver issue.

Jul 11th 2008 9:31AM I had a job that required me to travel to customers' homes for service and repair. At one, in a freezing downpour, I left my car running and I ran up to the front door to see if they were home, locking my keys in the car. I ran back to my car, to realize that the road was slowly flooding, and, on top of that, I had locked my keys in my car. I whipped out my phone to call my wife to bring me our extra key. The rest of the story is played back in my head in slow motion. I press "Send" to call her and as she picks up and says "Hello" the phone slips out of my hands and falls into the almost knee deep water I am now standing in. I could see it tumble through the air and fall into the water, staying on still for a brief half-second under water, and then shutting off. So now soaking wet, car running with the keys locked inside, and road flooding, I am left standing alone, incommunicado. The flood eventually overtook my car as I stood there helplessly.
I find out from the customer later that she left her house, but then didn't come home because she knew her street always flooded during heavy rains. She tried to call me but said the call went straight to voicemail, probably right around the time I dropped it into the water.
The only good part of the story is that I got a new car and a new phone out of the whole thing.

Jul 1st 2008 11:14AM There's a neighborhood kid that cuts our lawn with his own mower. I'd give this to him as a nice bonus for keeping our lawn trimmed during the hot summer months.
