Toyota responds to Ford's new initial quality ads {Autoblog}
May 12th 2008 11:23AM Well at least Ford is admitting that in the past they didn't have a good reputation and they've been working on changing that. Ford cars in general have been drastically improving and I have to say that I am starting to like their styling more than Toyota's.
I don't like Toyota vehicles at the moment. My mom's 01 Camry steering wheel squeaks like hell when turning. My friend's mom's 04 Camry steering wheel squeaks like hell when turning.
Reliability? When your parents are the type to get suckered into anything the dealership recommends for "maintenance," there should be a problem free car at the end of hundreds of dollars in these costs. Oh wait, no, there isn't, just a puddle of oil on their garage.

May 8th 2008 3:33AM Don't worry, the feeling's mutual.

May 8th 2008 3:31AM German cars may not be known for their reliability, but the build quality is impeccable.
Cars built in America mysteriously develop rattles and squeaks. I for one will never purchase an American built car ever again.
Gas buyers favor brand, not price {Autoblog}
Apr 22nd 2008 11:38AM I try and stick with Chevron, Shell, 76. Chevron mostly since I've noticed better performance overall with gas from them (most people will think I'm crazy but I can feel a difference in performance).
What's an "SAV" cost? BMW X6 starts at $53,275 {Autoblog}
Apr 11th 2008 1:30AM Despite everyone's utter displeasure whenever this vehicle comes up on Autoblog, I think it will sell, simply because it will be a way for people who drive SUVs but distinguish themselves from the upper middle class suburban soccer moms. There are a lot of girls (and guys) that fall into this class in Los Angeles, I'm embarrassed to say.
Spy Shots: 2009 Honda Pilot {Autoblog}
Apr 9th 2008 8:01PM Honda's been letting their US employees take a much larger part in designing cars sold here... looks like that was a pretty bad decision.
Rumormill: BMW working on twin-turbo four-cylinder? {Autoblog}
Apr 9th 2008 6:44PM Except nearly everyone that's replying is forgetting that one huge difference between an F1 engine and the ones in the cars they sell is that the former only has to last one race whereas the other is supposed to last for years. A little difficult to make a turbocharged engine that revs that high AND will last longer than just a few thousand miles.
Rumormill: BMW working on twin-turbo four-cylinder? {Autoblog}
Apr 9th 2008 11:35AM 11k rpm? That's just some bimmer boy's wet dream.
Especially if it has a turbo (or twin turbo) attached to it, there's no way it would go that high.
First Drive: 2009 Nissan GT-R {Autoblog}
Apr 4th 2008 4:41PM Wait! This won't do well at all because it only has a V6! Everyone knows that a car needs to have a V8 to be seriously considered in that price range!
Oh wait, thought this was an RL post.
In The Autoblog Garage: 2008 Honda Accord Coupe {Autoblog}
Mar 31st 2008 3:56PM Sexier is subjective, and I'm sure the VQ is really nice but nearly every car mag that has compared both rank the Accord better overall.
Re: review
- the controls on the center console - stuff like radio tuning and cabin fan controls are things that are rarely ever used (and therefore not put in as easy reach) because radio presets becomes a priority and so does automatic climate control. I haven't used the up/down switch for temperature so i can't say if it's good or not.
- There always is that 'roar' in Hondas because they skimp on the minor details like extra sound dampening material and thicker glass.
- I would be surprised if the leather was that much nicer because Honda hasn't been too good in putting high quality leather in their cars.
- I am disappointed with the new navi knob though, but having a touch screen means a not so good location for a quick glance.
