Sep 25th 2007 12:49AM This is the same story that was posted on AOL this evening. It is part of the corporate - linked to AOL - news story that we can come to expect from Autoblog. This is really just advertisement disguised as news. Thanks AOL! : P

Saab unleashes its most powerful model ever, the 390hp 9-7x Aero! {Autoblog}

Aug 4th 2007 2:07AM A friend of mine was in the market for one. I told her to test drive the Trailblazer first. She did and went back and bought the Saab 9-7. I tried to be polite. I took a ride in it myself. And it really was the difference between an old Caprice and a Cadillac (you oldsters will remember). I was impressed with it as a luxury ride. As a class leading SUV? No. As a smooth ride for someone who doesn't want to see herself coming and going down the road. Well... It works for her. If the trailblaizer were half as well conceived... it would have been a really nice vehicle too.

I have no point here.... LOL

New York Preview: 2008 Buick Lucerne Super not as super as LaCrosse {Autoblog}

Mar 27th 2007 4:19PM The last time I checked one of these out in a dealership (10 months ago?) I was amazed that the dashboard on the passenger side was one huge clump of cheap looking plastic. As I sat there the salesman came by and asked how I liked it. I told him I liked it fine but for that dash plastic crap... he looked at it and said, "Oh wow... you're right." I felt bad for the chap after that and just left.

Mar 26th 2007 9:35PM Their new products are strangely square and do nothing for me. Square is only cool in the most extreme cases (Scion xB). The bright grille work genuinely scares me. I actually jump when I see it. #3 is correct with his plea to the Gods of Interiors. LOL I just don't think they are listening....

Buick dealers clamoring for Enclave before they go on sale {Autoblog}

Mar 22nd 2007 11:48PM Looks like the designers drove it too fast before the mold was set and the grille slid up onto the hood. Hope it looks better in person.

Not all the Germans want to dump Chrysler {Autoblog}

Mar 19th 2007 6:32PM Chrysler (Dodge etc.) dashes all look cheap. I agree with iQuack. When a driver is going to drop serious bucks and look at the dash and the doors for the next 5 years while paying it off, please make it look good. The space isn't that large... What 3' by 5'. Make it look great! I was mildly impressed by some of the Dodge/Chrysler designs, but when I checked them out for myself I was dismayed by the interiors, dash, doors, the whole shebang. Somebody saved some pennies and sunk a car line.

UPDATE: Ford "Tough Box" available to commercial customers this Spring {Autoblog}

Mar 16th 2007 4:40PM Tough to believe what you say about Chrysler addressing their shortcomings Mike... I went to a Dodge dealership and went from vehicle to vehicle and was very put off by the ultra plasticky and square interiors. They seemed beyond cheap. I mean, if the vehicle goes for $30,000 and you can't take a 3x5' section that I am gonna stare at for the next 5 years and make it loof fantastic... and that's your only job... what the heck good are you. (I am talking to designers here.) I would need to consider some real cash knocked off the price to put up with that kind of (visual) dissapointment on a daily basis.

What that has to do with future cars is this... If the production of automotive crap (and I use the interior here as one of my sole complaints, but unreliable and noisy engines might as easily be substituted...) has seeped into the corporation on such a deep level, what makes anyone think that the next version will be ANY different. Perhaps a full scale firing of the executives who allowed this stuff out in the first place? I feel bad for Dodge dealers who have to smile past this crap in an effort to push this stuff.

Nissan continues to build a better traffic light {Autoblog}

Mar 13th 2007 11:54PM I think this sounds great. We have the technology and need to save the gas, not to mention congestion. Funny how cameras t ticket drivers have made such great strides, when devices to speed traffic along its way never gets mentioned.
