REPORT: Chrysler may sell Dodge Viper rather than kill it {Autoblog}

Aug 27th 2008 11:40AM Hmmm.... somewhat similar to what happened to the Ford / DeTomaso Pantera (but they were partners on the car to begin with).

Ford Ka gets role in new Bond movie {Autoblog}

Aug 14th 2008 11:46PM wonder what it would look like with a MERCURY logo on the front?

Mercury Sable and Taurus X dead next year? {Autoblog}

Aug 11th 2008 11:09AM With the Ford Explorer converting to a unibody structure (like the Taurus X), with a 6-speed automatic (like the Taurus X), & the 3.5 V6 (like the Taurus X) - and with said Explorer being smaller than the Flex (like the Taurus X), something tells me that the Taurus X isn't going away..... just getting an "Extreme" makeover as the next Explorer.

No new MINIs for '08? Manufacturers tapped, dealers sold out {Autoblog}

Jul 22nd 2008 8:42PM ..... all us Americans who don't like hatchbacks must be buying them up to keep them off the road....

Audi A1 not bound for U.S. shores {Autoblog}

Jul 13th 2008 12:36PM As much as I'd like it, it probably doesn't make sense to sell it here as an AUDI...... but would as a VW.

Rumormill: Ford reviving Mustang SVO with 300 hp Ecoboost four {Autoblog}

Jul 3rd 2008 11:21AM Makes lots of sense....
The Mazdaspeed 3 currently uses the turbo 2.3 (w/o Ecoboost).

MS3 produces 263 hp, curb weight 3153 lbs, EPA 18/26 city/hwy
Mustang GT: 300 hp, 3356 lbs, EPA 15/23

Less weight on the nose = better handling, better fuel economy

What's not to like?

C-Max and Kuga may follow Euro Focus to the U.S. {Autoblog}

May 20th 2008 2:04AM The Mazda3 is C1-based, as are the CX-7 (small suv) and Mazda5 (mini-minivan). Aren't the Kuga and C-Max Ford's take on this body style?

On another note - I saw a C-Max on the road in Virginia last week with Virginia license plates..... so at least one has made it here already.

Geneva '08 Preview: European Ford Focus Coupé-Cabriolet {Autoblog}

Feb 5th 2008 1:56PM We can get this car here - it's sold as a Volvo C70 ($40,000). But, at a somewhat lower price point ($30,000), wouldn't it be a really nice Mercury or Lincoln?

CES 2008: Wagoner expected to announce driverless cars within a decade {Autoblog}

Jan 7th 2008 11:21AM Perfect - It completes the package - GM already has BUYERLESS-cars....

REPORT: Volvo plans XC30 CUV to join V30 wagon and C30 hatch {Autoblog}

Dec 27th 2007 4:46PM So, Volvo [at least at the bottom of the range] becomes a slightly more upmarket Mazda? Mazda3-based C30, V30, and now a Volvo version of the Mazda3-based CX-7. Not a bad idea.... if only Ford would sell us a slightly down-market version of the Mazda3, all would be well....
