New York '08 Preview: 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP packs 402 HP... and a third pedal! {Autoblog}

May 9th 2008 4:48AM Uh, wtf? Supposed to be in reply to Brian about the WS6 prices. Showing up as a nested comment at the end? Go figure.

New York '08 Preview: 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP packs 402 HP... and a third pedal! {Autoblog}

May 9th 2008 4:46AM I take it you haven't looked at any other Pontiac models?

We used to have a 2000 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi. Supercharged, fully loaded, HUD (which is not gimmicky, I thought it was till I drove the car - its amazing).

It was a $40k car new. Sold in 2007 with 104k on it for a whopping $5 grand, after bing on the market for MONTHS.

Detroit Auto Show: 2008 Subaru Legacy and Outback {Autoblog}

Jan 11th 2007 2:06AM "The WRX knows its spot and so does the outback and tribeca but the legacy needs some more thought." -Steve S. (12)

Wait, the Tribeca has a spot? Could someone kindly ask it to enlighten me to what that is cause I sure can't figure it out. :-)

And these look pretty good. I've always liked the Legacys & Imprezas. Never really cared for the Outback, and hate the Tribeca. The Baja is kinda cool though.

I'm interested to see what this is like IRL.

POLL: RR of the Week {Autoblog}

Oct 1st 2006 8:12PM Boy, been a long time since I've been on here, but I honestly see BMW 3's by the handfuls per day.
I'm having a tough time btwn the 1600 & E-Type, but I guess I'll go 1600. Both real nice.

And lets compromise: The people who picked the Ka AND the 325 should BOTH be shot.

New Corvette division courtesy of... GM/Nissan? {Autoblog}

Jul 28th 2006 2:54AM He meant it as a joke. It was a satirical piece.

Its all in the title: Sports Car Sinergy.

Move along, people, move along.

Rinspeed "Splash" sets English Channel record {Autoblog}

Jul 28th 2006 2:46AM Just cuz its bugging me: Its 'kmh' not 'kph'. Hope you don't mind my anal-ness. :-)

But that thing is really cool.

Spy Shots: 2008 Buick Enclave {Autoblog}

Jul 19th 2006 2:42PM GM has failed.
Again.

Where are the gorgeous sculpted wheel wells? Gone.
All the subtle (and a few not so subtle) exterior styling cues that made the concept the hit it was? Gone.

Cheers & Gears is both right and wrong:
"...we're happy to report that its not that exciting. Why? Because it looks quite identical to the stunning concept vehicle first shown seven months ago at Detroit."
Yeah, its not that exciting alright.
But not because we already knew what it looked like.
Its not exciting because it is just another Acadia/Outlook.

If people like the concept, then build it just like the concept. Fools.

Failed....Again.

Weird News of the Day: dog driving truck hits woman {Autoblog}

Jul 15th 2006 4:24PM Hey, it gets better:
From the article, "The truck then went through the Stones' yard and struck a vehicle in the driveway."

Wow....first you get ran over by a dog driving a truck...then he goes thru your lawn and hits your car.
Talk about a bad day!

Another CTS rendering sheds light on entry-level Caddy {Autoblog}

Jul 13th 2006 1:25PM Looks great, I like this one a lot better than the last rendering. I hope the production does actually look a lot like this one.

Seriously, go check out his website, http://www.chrispauwels.com/ he's got a lot of great looking designs, they need to get him on GM's staff quick. I especially like the Malibu design he has and the Chevelle and Sky designs.
Great work Chris!

2007 GMC Acadia revealed - UPDATED {Autoblog}

Jul 13th 2006 2:18AM How the heck long ago did you own an SL2?? And an S-10 Blazer? That nameplate combo was dropped a long time ago. At the time the S-10 Blazer was around, Hyundai was the joke of all cars.
Yet you give them thumbs up while you base your feelings about GM on cars from the same time frame as the Excel. What backwards logic.

I'll give you this, as a general rule thru the 90's into the 00's, German, Japanese, and S Korean cars all were better quality than GM. However, you should OBJECTIVELY check out GM's new offerings. They're not perfect, but much improved, and really are about on par with foreign cars.

And do you not notice the now-frequent recalls by Toyota? They seem to be coming weekly. But to uninformed morons (such as yourself, if any clarifications were needed), Toyota's still out creating sunshine and planting daisys.

Look at their latest Tundra recall. What blatant cutting corners. If they openly do that, imagine what corners they are now cutting on their current cars. Toyota quality is not what it used to be, while GM is really stepping it up a notch.

Get your head out of the sand and take a look.

And I don't ever want to hear 'Uncle Rastus' again. Ever.
