Aug 30th 2008 12:33AM LOL. As I type Verizon pulls cable for fios. Well, not "as I type" since it's 9:30pm. But you get the idea. I had FIOS. I moved. I must get FIOS again.

Aug 28th 2008 1:11AM No magic computer for the newbs in the ACR. That's what's cool about it. Raw power in the hands of a good driver > digital care-bare technology.

NVIDIA throws another punch, sez Larrabee would've been hot in 2006 {Engadget}
Aug 25th 2008 11:36AM Intel graphics have been notoriously lame for years. They have to prove themselves. Every new integrated solution they come out with is claimed by them to enable all these cool scenarios, but in the end are just garbage you replace with a dedicated GPU from AMD or NVIDIA.
Basically the Intel needs to put up or shut up and the guys form AMD and Nvidia are basically saying "STFU newb."

That experiment showed that:
1) the APPLE marketing works wonders
2) Users just repeat what apple says, and never actually having USED Vista or SEEN it have bogus opinions about it.
3) MSFT marketing sucks and has been AWOL.
How does that "disrepect" users? It's the Pepsi challenge, that's all. Oh, but since it's from MSFT it MUST be a big lie and some Byzantine plot of evil. Pathetic. Seriously, people need to get a grip.
I run Vista on four machines at home and all my rigs in the office. It is great and I'll never go back to XP. Ever.
Dallas HOA prohibits parking F-150 in driveway; Lincoln Mark LT allowed {Autoblog}
Aug 18th 2008 10:23PM Normally I agree with HOA==EVIL.
But live in a community without one when half your neighbors move out, then rent out their homes they cannot sell due to the housing crunch and fill those homes with people who let the yards go to jungle state, park five vehicles out front and party until 4am every night.
Then you'll be wishing you had an HOA that could place liens to cover the landscaping and provisions against renting out more than N units in the sub division.
The HOA where I just moved is extremely reasonable. But maybe we're just lucky.
I think it's laugable that you cannot park a new F150 (not cheap) in the driveway in a community in effin TEXAS. That's about as un-American as you can get. But, the guy signed a contract. Before you close the deal you ALWASY read the CC&R docs for the place.
OCZ stays on its game with Core Series V2 SSDs {Engadget}
Aug 15th 2008 11:54AM Except that the USB port likely lacks the power to drive the device. Although wth SSD maybe that's not an issue.
Monterey 2008: Cadillac unveils 2010 CTS Sport Wagon {Autoblog}
Aug 15th 2008 12:51AM Yet no G8 wagon? Didn't "maximum" Bob scoff at Audi and BMW telling people to ask THEM how many wagons THEY sell in response to the G8 wagon question?
Hypocrite.

Costco is awesome. I live in yuppie central where poeple have money. We all shop at Costco. Just becuase you have money doesn't mean you spend it stupidly.
Need diapers and baby wipes? Costco FTW.
