May 3rd 2008 8:59AM i agree, as i found with the EEE, lots of RAM and the speed of the SSD makes up for alot of lost processor, particularly for the web and word processing i do.
what kills me is that it seems to me, every one wants a $3 - 400 gamiong PC. well, if you can get windows 98SE running, i am fairly certain you could game your heart out.

I would like a 4-8gb ssd to install my OS and apps on and then a 1.8" 40gb for data.
I'd do away with the speakers for a speaker. this lets me use it for an alarm clock.
i was surprised by the Suse offering. XP or uBuntu would be better as i had on my EEE. though, i did like the tabbed desktop of Xandros, reminded me of windows 3.1; easy and quick (relatively).
i am rarely in need of Cell carrier access, there are enough coffee shops that offer wireless and I can usually get on in my car if necessary.
