Dec 13th 2007 5:39PM Go back to stroking the dashboard in your BMW. These cars offer the handling an acceleration of cars costing three times as much. Sure the interior and overall refinement leaves something to be desired but these are cars for real drivers not geeks like you who need a steering wheel covered with leather from an organically fed cow.

Dec 10th 2007 3:34PM The RX8 already has a near perfect 50/50 balance because the engine is mid-frount mounted, something probably not possible with a larger (in dimension) piston engine. A piston engine would weigh more and actually hurt handling.
The only thing a piston engine would do is give it more power. It could use more power, but that's not really what this car is about.
