Spy Shots: Honda's hybrid Prius-fighter caught {Autoblog}
Jul 17th 2008 9:22AM I just really hope, for the sake of drivers everywhere, that this thing doesn't drive like a Prius. I drive a subsidized Prius for a car pool I run every week day, and it is awful in terms of its driving dynamics. No grip, lots of wallow, dead feeling from the steering... And the sound of the engine is just awful. Quite possibly the worst exhaust note I've ever heard, it's also really loud under acceleration.
People talk about the prius being quiet, but at freeway speeds I have to double the volume on the radio from the "10" setting to the "20" setting compared to city speeds.
It is literally a visceral pleasure to drive my 8 year old Ford Contour around on the weekends. It's like my automotive soul dies whenever I get in the Prius : (

Jul 2nd 2008 11:20AM Absolutely gorgeous. Added to my shopping list alongside the new Fit, the next gen Mazda 3, and the Ford Fiesta. I love how that field is growing into these wonderful little cars!

Ford confirms Fiesta hatchback for the U.S. {Autoblog}
May 30th 2008 3:37PM Thank you Ford. This is in a neck and neck competition with the new Fit for my next purchase due to fuel costs. This is as nice as can be, and should be fun to drive. I just hope they don't dull down the styling, throw in some horrid engine from the Focus, and throw on a Mach 3 grille.
Obama picks worst car ever to come out of Motown {Autoblog}
May 7th 2008 12:41PM Clearly, Mk, you are misinformed. You do realize that he's simply going to return the taxes on wealthy people to the level they were before the Bush cuts? Your pedantic pessimism is rather sad, really. Obamas targets for fuel economy are only mildly more restrictive than current CAFE levels, and they should be acheivable through a reduction in the output of idiotic cars like the Ford Explorer. Stricter controls will drive innovation. A continuation of the status quo hurts our economy due to the high costs of natural resources such as oil.

Apr 21st 2008 7:43PM How are you going to explain your dog's nuts to the 4 year old? Hmm? How you are going to explain the two dragonflies mating? Get a grip. Welcome to planet earth.
Very First Drive: 2009 Bentley Brooklands {Autoblog}
Apr 14th 2008 12:52PM This car absolutely defines classic and classy for that matter. That interior is absolutely devastatingly beautiful. British craftsmanship is still very much alive. Thanks too for the bit on the engine. The photos are excellent as well. Now just include an HD video of what it's like to drive this, and we'll be even happier.
Geneva 2008: 2009 Volkswagen Scirocco arrives early {Autoblog}
Feb 28th 2008 4:12PM That this is beautiful. Now why on earth can't we get that here instead of the awful bulbous/generic/tasteless looking GTI? I love this design and would seriously consider it over a next gen mazda 3.

Feb 6th 2008 1:05PM Jesus. What a hideous monster. That painful gaping maw, the chiseled edges that mix with curves resulting in a discordant look, the mercedes S class tail-lights (not a bad thing, but a blatant copy) the trunk hump... The blandness of it all...
My guess is that the target audience are geriatrics in florida who want to look styling but ultimately fail miserably?
