Nov 9th 2006 7:47PM 'Pimp my Ride' has a lot to answer for. This is dumb-down motoring, even the clothes-drier on the back says 'I want the whole world to know that i'm an idiot for buying this'

Alfa Romeo 159 spotted in L.A. {Autoblog}

Nov 4th 2006 7:00AM What is it about Alfa Romeo that North American's do not understand? They are NOT just fast looking, they are awesomely quick. I drive here in Europe and my choice of car is the Alfa 159 Sportwagon, I got it earlier this year. It is a diesel BUT here's where European diesel technology gets scary, top speed is 140 mph or 230 km/h and acceleraion to 60 mph (100 km/h) takes just over 7 seconds. I don't do the top speed often-but it's there if I ever did need it. This mother has a multijet 16v turbo diesel engine and i often thing the fuel gauge is frozen on 'full'. I know this sounds like a commercial, but if you have to cover around 30,000 miles each year, you want to do it quickly and in comfort, economically and in great style. Sadly, I would never buy a car from my home-town in Detroit ever again.

Paris Motor Show: Delta HPE concept and the future of Lancia {Autoblog}

Oct 8th 2006 5:15PM Lancia seems to be carving its own path through the styling jungle. I saw the Delta HPE 'in the flesh' at Paris and I was impressed. Of course it may be more to European than North American taste. No European manufacturer would offer cars like Chrysler's 300C or Dodge Caliber-these aren't styles, they ard big bricks with some space left inside for passengers. That's just an opinion of course, so do feel free to be in the wrong...

First Alfa Romeo to hit U.S. will be 8c Competizione! {Autoblog}

Jul 25th 2006 4:24AM Since moving to Europe from N.J. twelve years ago I have become an Alfa fan-atic. I never had any problems with my 145, 147, 156 or my current GT, I love the Alfa designs for simple, classic, sexy and anti-Bangle elegance, but I do have real problems with the 8c Competizione: I'm fairly sure I won't be able to afford one! But at least I can get to see some, if I hang around on street corners in Cap Ferrat or Monaco.
