Cosworth supercharger for NC Mazda Miata almost ready {Autoblog}

May 20th 2008 4:29PM Justin: That was my initial questions as well. Eric says in his post that "it feels like the torque curve is a flat line from 2800 - 6500rpm." Unfortunately, no numbers or a dyno graph were supplied.

Google Earth spots Top Gear USA test track? {Autoblog}

May 19th 2008 9:16PM Mr. Prince:

Hold on there.

As a member of the SCCA, NASA, BMWCCA and a guy who spent eight years teaching advanced driver's education, let me make it clear that I have nothing against any of the aforementioned groups, nor do I have any bias towards Lotus (although an Elise purchase is on my bucketlist). My reference to the track layout wasn't a slight towards the designers or the crew that sets them up, it was merely an observation that the TG test track was specifically designed to ferret out any weaknesses in a production car. The tire marks produced on the track above are obviously for something else (best guess is a drifting), and it's likely that Gear would use a different layout. Hope that clears up any confusion.

May 5th 2008 3:08PM Ha! You should read the AutoNews article. "The service will operate via an EDGE (Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution) mobile connection, currently the fastest universal mobile connection available."

Ummm... No. That's why I said, "one of the faster." I pray nightly that we get the same system some of our friends abroad enjoy.

May 5th 2008 1:35PM In a word: perfect. Simple, straight forward, easily manipulated controls. It's everything I want in an interior.

May 5th 2008 1:34PM I'm actually a fan of the 318ti, but the rear suspension setup (semi-trailing arm from the E30, used for packaging reasons) killed it as a viable option.

May 5th 2008 1:30PM Yeah, this is my daily driver. And no, I don't get any additional cash from my employer for the project. Sigh...

May 5th 2008 1:27PM Charlie hit the nail on the head: the rear suspension. I'd love to be free of the 400 pounds on the E36, but it's more civil than the E30 and the 318is landed in my lap.
