Round Two: Second Unique Performance auction set for June {Autoblog}

May 12th 2008 9:56AM If you're going to look at these treasures, bring a magnet. A big one, and be prepared to do a lot of crawling under and over. Also, bring an extendable mirror, and a strong flashlight. And look for missing or replaced VIN's. It ain't worth much if you can't title it.

Mazda survey reveals pricing and packages for Mazda6 {Autoblog}

May 9th 2008 8:07AM Keeping this puppy cost effective is a real chore, as it's the only one besides the 'bu that's built with UAW labor, in MI. I have an '04 wagon, bought $7k under list, am fairly happy except for its turning circle and funky dash lights that wash out a dawn/dusk. Mileage a little short of Toyota for equal size/weight vehicle. I was surprised to learn that Mazda sold only 16k wagons in four years.

First Peek: 2009 Dodge Ram R/T {Autoblog}

May 8th 2008 9:17AM It's a dinosaur, designed and approved by people with their heads in the sand. The days of this kind of vehicle are over, but they were done years ago, if anybody was paying attention.

Why hasn't anyone created a 2.0L DI turbo Fiero? {Autoblog}

May 8th 2008 1:42AM All the Iron Dukes had leaky valve covers, which would potentially cause a fire if never checked and fixed. The worst experience with this was a sticky throttle from the accumulated gummy residue.
The front suspension was from the Chevette, similar in concept to the Corvair front crossmember assembly starting in 1960, but sharing no parts. The rear package was lifted from the X-body (Citation, etc.) without the steering, complete with the four bolts that attached it that would need a torch to get out up north in the snow belt. Man, did they scream on their way out!

Spied? BMW M1 Prototype caught undisguised (maybe) {Autoblog}

May 5th 2008 5:02AM It's an obvious concept, typically BMW evolutionary, with oversized wheels and tires that allow no suspension travel. It'll be interesting to see what they do with it as/if it approaches production.

eBay Find of the Day: Trans Am SE signed by Burt Reynolds {Autoblog}

May 4th 2008 8:55PM I'll bet you can get one of old Burt's autographed toupees for even less, and you can't run it out of oil. either.

And you thought $79,995 was crazy...GT500KR for sale on ebay for $154,991.00 {Autoblog}

May 4th 2008 8:52PM It's just a damn Ford, ferchrissakes. And one basically built out of the parts bin, at that. But a fool and his money are soon parted, and all this guy needs is one. And there are plenty, especially in Texas.

British study suggests that older drivers are safer drivers {Autoblog}

May 1st 2008 11:14AM Older drivers (70 and up) are in fewer accidents because they drive less. Their rate per mile's about the same as for teens. Them's the facts.

Another Bright Idea: Maserati Lamp by Lumina {Autoblog}

May 1st 2008 11:11AM Truly a cure for which there's no disease.

Loder1899 builds off Jaguar XF's strong points {Autoblog}

May 1st 2008 11:10AM Love the Hyundai Sonata front end. So distinctive.
