May 13th 2008 3:19PM It was not one, GM send many manager trying to push back Opel ... but all of them did not understand the Europen market and models which were asked here. Ending in extrem poor quality and lame models. The starter of all Problems was Lopez.. he was a GM production plant chief in Saragossa and a cost killer no matter how much the quality drops... GM moved him to Opel in 1987... he was the kickstart for a dramatic quality drop... which was getting more and more worse with every new chairman GM was sending to Opel..

May 13th 2008 9:57AM Funny after smart GM US manager copletely killed Opel reputation in Europe they want to upmarket the brand... they need 20 years till the brand recovered from the mistakes they have done the last ten years..

May 12th 2008 5:24AM hatchbacks in europe are cars with a steep rear end, fastbacks ar cars with a "sedan" like rear but with a huge rear door not a trunk hood..

cars like the Isigma 5door are called Fliessheck/fastback in Germany not Steilheck/hatchback ...
according to Autobild the Isigma fastback will get the same 7engine option like the sedan 110hp FWD to 260hp AWD with a IDS Plus suspension as option

no one cares what you belive or not, I have the article at hand, 9ff has lot of experience with high speed running, I have seen a video of the 9ff V400 at Nardo were they run straight from the gas station outside the track to a 388km/h(242mph) run in 2004.
The GT9 is running under europen emission and street rules it runs on SuperPlus fuel which is 98octan.
Race fuel with higher octane or things like NOS are not allowed in street legal cars in Germany.

Compared to the Auto Union and Mercedes Streamliner of the late 1930´s the Sledge-Hammer was a slow car...
Both Auto Union and Mercedes toped 270mph on public road in 1938... Mercedes holds since 1938 the world record for the highest topspeed ever clocked on a public road with 272mph.. (two directions)

May 10th 2008 12:20AM The officle claim for the CXX is 395km/h (247mph) and it was never proven in a test. The only officle topspeed test by a Koenigsegg was in Nardo were they reached 388km/h(242mph)
