Ford Europe launches new top shelf Mondeo - the Titanium X Sport {Autoblog}
May 6th 2008 12:46PM The 45.6 MPG is in Imperial Gallons. That would be about 38 MPG in the USA. Still pretty good.

Maserati wants the 8C to reintroduce America to Alfa Romeo {Autoblog}
Apr 12th 2007 1:02PM It will probably be much more important to figure out how to convince Americans weaned on Milanos and staggeringly-beautiful-but-perpetually-broken GTVs and Spyders that slotting an Alfa into the same price bracket as Aston Martin isn't an elaborate Italian jest.
Most Americans have no idea what an Alfa Romeo is. Bring on the 8C, sans cupholders, America will just drool.
On a side note. One of the first Saab dealers in the USA passed away last night. We will miss you Kurt Vonnegut.
So it goes..

Ford Bold Moves - Episode 27: "Fix Or Repair Daily" finally addressed {Autoblog}
Dec 22nd 2006 8:34AM I hope they get things right. All I know is that I have a 93 Taurus 3.8L sitting in my yard waiting for the junk man. Super Secret snowbelt recalls for melting chassis parts and one fix is to "shield" the tires from the sharp points on a broken Strut Coil Springs that "did" break. Engine head gaskets that turned into "mush" after 60000 miles. The last straw was the Engine chassis mounts rotting out. Ford has alot to do to get me to buy another car.
LA Auto Show: Gov. Schwarzenegger stumps for green vehicles in L.A. {Autoblog}
Nov 30th 2006 4:56PM 1. Did anyone ask Gov. Arnold why the current high mileage Diesel cars are not given a temporary exemption so they can be sold in CA now? I know they don't meet the current pollution standards but with the exemplary mileage they get surely they would benefit the air quality of our region. Since the E Class MB is seen everywhere in So. CA it would make an enormous improvement in fuel consumption.
No, the Governator wants nothing but Johny Cabs running around California.
I hope you enjoyed the ride....
Cartalk names Top 10 Scariest Cars {Autoblog}
Oct 31st 2006 9:27AM 25. I for one support their choice of the old muscle cars in pole positions on the scary list.
I have driven many high powered cars, and I agree that even modern day muscle cars just arent up to snuff handling wise, compared to their power, let alone old ones.
Saying a '69 Mustang handles well is just blind muscle car fanboy-ism.

Agree mattlach. Anyone who has driven late sixties, early seventies Pony cars on crappy New England roads would know where Tom and Ray get their opinions.
All the ruts, dips, cracks, potholes, make for very intersting driving as the light rear end bounces left then right. Fun! Fun! Fun!
You gotta have harp: A musician looks for the perfect hauler {Autoblog}
Oct 16th 2006 11:23AM When I read the article, all I could think was a quote from the Danish Composer Carl Nielson. "A Harp in one's orchestra is like a hair in one's soup."
