I did not mention Bangle or state that "'Most' Europeans agree it is ugly." Although they reflect the opinion of people you may not like, the two quotes I cited point to the fact that the car's styling is controversial. The messages on this blog just confirm that :-)

The fact that people buy something doesn't mean they find it beautiful! Look at all the Corollas on the streets. Is the Corolla a beautiful car because many people buy it?
This being said, BMW should bring the three-door version of the 1 series to North America! This is a fine car and could become popular as a real entry-level BMW...
